Mieruko-chan Chapter 54 is the next for the series, and with Hana and Michiru coming to an understanding, things are going to be a lot more peaceful from now on. Waiting a month for the latest chapter was worthwhile as the writer gave the best possible conclusion to the feud between Hana and Michiru.
Mieruko-chan Chapter 53 opens up with a backlash of the day when Michiru’s parents passed away due to a car accident. Since that day, Michiru’s older sister Ichijou swore to protect Michiru from harm.
Back to the present, Ichijou arrives at the school to pick up Michiru, but she’s nowhere to be found. Ichijou asks Zen to change Michiru’s class because she doesn’t want her to be with Mieruko, but Zen rejects her plea due to the laws of the school.

Ichijou says that she would just unenroll Michiru from the school in that case. Before Zen could reply to Ichijou, she started walking away while calling Michiru. Michiru does not pick up the phone, and even her location is not visible, which makes Ichijou nervous. Mieruko enters the scene, and she looks as if she is also trying to contact Michiru because she’s talking to Julia on the phone.
Ichijou looks at Mieruko in shock when Zen asks Mieruko why she’s still in the school. Mieruko tells Zen that Hana has disappeared all of a sudden, and so she’s looking for her.
Ichijou overhears Mieruko, and so she shows a picture to her, asking if it is of Hana. Mieruko looks at the picture in shock as Hana’s face has been scratched by something. She looks at Ichijou to ask her why the photo is like this, but Ichijou suddenly breaks out in tears.
The School announces Hana and Michiru to return to the office. Hana hears the announcement, and so she asks Michiru about it, but Michiru says that she didn’t hear anything.
Hana looks at her phone and finds that there’s no network, which makes her wonder if Mieruko is worried about her. Michiru asks Hana why Mieruko would worry about someone like her, but Hana just casually replies that Miko is a worry-wart.
The tentacles surrounding Michiru suddenly point toward Hana, and Michiru asks her about her relationship with Mieruko. As always, Hana doesn’t understand what Michiru wants, so Michiru explains that she wants to get closer to Mieruko, and so she would like Hana to stay away from her. The focus then shifts to Michiru’s past, where she can be seen returning a Hat to Kohane.
Michiru is covered in sewer water, which makes Kohane and his parents disgusted, and so they tell her to go away with the hat. Ichijou tells Michiru to stay away from sewers because they are dangerous, but Michiru says that she just wants to get Kohane’s hat back.
Ichijou says that Michiru is a good girl, but sadly, that’s not what everyone else thinks. Michiru’s behavior repulses all the other people, and so they push her away.
Ichijou decides to keep Michiru away from other children so that she won’t feel sad, but Michiru suffers even more from it. Back in the Present, Ichijou tells Mieruko that Michiru is a strange child who struggles to interact with her, which has hurt her a lot in the past. She says that Mushoku must be with Hana at the moment, and looking at the distorted picture, there’s no telling what she would do.
Michiru tells Hana to stay away from Miko because she should be the one staying by her side, as she cares a lot for her. She further adds that seeing Hana and Mieruko together makes her jealous because she can’t be like that. Hana starts crying and immediately hugs Michiru for telling her everything.
