For Unsellable Houses Season 4, the sisters Lyndsay and Leslie are returning. You have to give HGTV credit for spinning every conceivable angle when it comes to DIY projects, home remodeling, and interior design programs: From upscale locations to others where no one wishes to purchase anything from a vendor.
Under the guidance of the hosts, homeowners on the verge of foreclosure list their homes for sale in this program. These women renovate, locate possible buyers, and take an ugly piece of real estate and convert it into something that might actually sell in the current real estate market. Although they don’t always succeed, several of these locations have remarkably different “Before” and “After” photos.
Unsellable Houses Season 4 Episode 2 Recap
A distraught daughter begs Leslie and Lyndsay to take over her mother’s rambler, which has sadly stayed unsold on the market for an exhausting three months, in desperation for a solution.
The house is big, with high ceilings and lots of space, the problem is that the homeowners don’t really have a clue on how to administer such vast spaces, and with the scant furniture and decorations, the place looks rather dull, devoid of life and bland. That’s one of the reasons why the house hasn’t hit a single offer in the market. You look at the living room and its mostly empty, there are only two rattan chairs on a side of the wall. There’s minimalism, and then there’s no sense of furniture, in this case, is the latter.
As we move to the kitchen, we see that the kitchen is spacious, but it has an odd distribution and the window that looks into a rather empty and poorly spaced dining room breaks the harmony and flow. The bedrooms need mass work as well, they are big and spacious, but the bed placement and night tables make the whole thing look poorly placed and gives it the wrong vibes.
As for electrical wiring, and ventilation, things seem okay, but the sisters insist of doing a few improvements.
The crafty twins use their knowledge to apply a slew of hacks that entirely revamp the rambler’s antiquated and haphazard design: They buy wallpaper, doors, redo a floor, redistribute the kitchen and fix the window issues. Then they move to the bedrooms and with skillful work, they end up cleverly opening up the house and bringing in a deliciously calming ambiance, the once boring house now has a renewed charm and peace in every nook and corner.
