Who hasn’t felt inferior to a coworker they have had for a long time? Most women have faced challenges to rise above the ladder in a corporation dominated by males due to several allegations made once the woman gets a promotion. Created by Jay Carson, a satirical drama series titled The Morning Show focuses on examining the characters and culture behind a broadcast network’s morning news program.
Taking inspiration from Brian Stelter’s Top Of The Morning: Inside The Cutthroat World Of Morning TV, the tragicomedy series The Morning Show was directed by Mimi Leder and Tucker Gates and brought to viewers by AppleTV+.
Produced by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Whitherspoon, the series focuses on a New York TV station hiring Bradley Jackson, a bold, hotheaded, and progressive southern girl, after their star co-host Mitch Kessler gets tangled into a MeToo case.
Alex Levy, another co-host for the series, is disgruntled that she has to train a newbie but finally decides to make her an ally. Meanwhile, Mitch refuses to accept defeat and attempts to take everyone in the station knowing of his sexual abuse scandal but decides against saying anything about it down with him.
Overall, the series shows the workplace politics that happens in every field of work. The series stars some of the known faces like Jennifer Aniston playing Alexandra’s role, a co-host, Reese Witherspoon playing Bradley’s role, Billy Crudup playing Cory Ellison’s role, UBA’s CEO, Mark Duplass playing Charlie’s role.
Nestor Carbonell played Yanko’s role, and Karen Pittman played Mia Jordan’s role. Viewers felt that the show was flashy but somewhat frivolous. Some viewers felt that the drama series was more of a vanity project than a drama that was supposed to be hard-hitting.
Some of the viewers also felt that too many characters were trying to handle too many hot topics at the same time. Overall, the series has an overwhelmingly positive response from viewers. Released on November 1, 2019, the series has run for two successful seasons and 23 episodes.

The Morning Show Season 2 Premise
The series focuses on the workplace drama that occurs in every other place of work. The second season starts with UBA performing damage control and firing Cory after Alex and Bradley’s on-air expose.
Alex quits from The Morning Show at the same time and moves to Maine to live a quiet and secluded life while writing a book on her career. Bradley continues to be a part of the morning show with Eric, his new co-host, and Cory struggles to be faithful towards Bradley as she wants to relocate to the evening news.
Cory, having no choice but to get the ratings up, decides to travel to Maine in an attempt to convince Alex to return to the morning show. Meanwhile, Corry and Bradley get into a fight after Bradley learns that Eric will be moved to the evening news. Alex returns to the morning show after reading a psychic’s predictions about her that inspires her return.
Cory informs Bradley about Alex being in negotiations to return to the morning show, leading Cory to call in sick from work to be a part of the negotiations. Cory decides to hold a small welcome dinner for Alex before she returns to work with the crew on the morning show.
The crew discussed whether it would be good for their channel to talk about the coronavirus or not. Meanwhile, Mitch is left surprised after a mysterious woman defends her against a woman harboring immense hate for him due to his involvement in the MeToo movement.
Cory makes the decision to stay with Hannah’s family, only to realize that her family may be after more than just money. Alex prepares for her big moment in the spotlight while Bradley covers the campaign start. Laura and Bradley share a moment that ends with the two kissing each other.
Daniel asks Mia to push for him in the office after learning about the UBA hosting the Democratic Presidential debate for the crew of The Morning Show for an empty jockey spot. Meanwhile, Cory keeps pushing for Alex to take the spot as Alex is dead set against moderation.
Bradley and Corry make up after the latter informs her about being off the hook from running since he cannot have two white straight women moderating. After Bradley informs about the same, the pair gets into a fight after Laura forces Bradley to come out as bisexual and embrace her identity while Bradley isn’t interested in doing so.
Meanwhile, Stella is convinced that Alex shines as the moderator after not being interested in keeping her initially. The UBA team travels to Vegas to cover the debate, but their past deeds continue to harm them. After several similar instances, the series second season reaches an end with Bradley taking a leave to search for her missing brother after COVID-19 starts to spread across America.
Alex is having a hard time during quarantine due to her being symptomatic. Alex also suffers emotionally due to a video of her attending Mitch’s memorial went viral. Chip asks Cory to have Alex talk about her experience with COVID-19 in one of the segments.
Meanwhile, Cory decides to help Bradley on her quest to find her brother after the country goes into lockdown. The season ends with Alex talking about her experience and stating she would no longer be sorry for who she is.
The Morning Show Season 3 Filming Locations
The filming of the third season started on August 16, 2022, and wrapped up on February 11, 2023, with New York City as the prime location.
1. New York City
Known for being the cultural, entertainment, financial, and media capital of the world, a beautiful city, New York City, was used for the filming of some of the major scenes of the third season.
Some of the scenes of the film were filmed in the iconic neighborhood of SoHo. Some places in New York that appear in the film include the Empire State Building, the Statue Of Liberty, and Times Square.
2. Los Angeles County, California
Known for being the home of the Hollywood film industry, the beautiful county of Los Angeles was used for the filming of some of the major parts of the third season of The MorningShow.
The 611 Place at 611 West 6th Street in Los Angeles was transformed into a building where the UBA office is headquartered. Different parts of Los Angeles were used for the filming of some of the important scenes of the series.
