While talking about the stabbing scene where Alya was stabbed, she risked her life to save councilor Maria Connor, Wait explained that the words on the page were just so well written and summed up everything that Alya had been through, and she admittedly found it really difficult to read, as all of the emotions just felt so real on the surface for her. Sair further admitted that one does not just want to cry through a performance, but revealed that she was really trying to hold back the tears.
