Manager Kim has far evolved from a story about a man saving his daughter from kidnappers to an action manhwa. This shouldn’t be surprising to anyone who reads this series, and it is from the creator of Lookism, after all. Though Lookism Manhwa went through a genre shift after reaching a point, Manager Kim is the same genre but with different tasks.

But in MK’s regard, it falls more in line with the Korean industry going into the unknown with no direction. Manager Kim Chapter 104 showed the backstory of the character whom the Kim’s group had taken under their care. But before that, he met his step-sibling, whom he had not come across for years. What their relationship was like is explained in the flashback of Hyung’s (the step-sibling being the younger one here).

The story doesn’t start with step-siblings. It starts with two brothers who were trained by their father to take over him after he dies. Their father was a mafia boss who looked at the world from the perspective of profit and loss. This led him to raise his boys the same way and shower them with whatever skill they could learn.

However, the client in question wanted to back off from becoming the successor because he didn’t want to lose his brother over this. The older brother rejected the idea but decided that they should at least take it to their father. It was then that one of their fears came to light after meeting a person who turned out to be their younger sibling.

Manager Kim Chapter 105 will focus on the white between the white tiger commander and the Japanese Yakuza. The story will go a bit into their fight before the characters go into a bit of exposition and then go into flashback. We know that we just got a flashback, but with these many characters, there is a need to know what motivates them in life.

It would be nice if there was a way to move the plot without knowing that, like how Aizen from Bleach doesn’t have a backstory and is a force of nature. However, antagonists like Aizen aren’t a common occurrence, and then it was Bleach that had him as one of the top 3. With Manager Kim, it is different as the antagonists are just obstacles for the main characters to grow.
