The maid asked Elaine for her help, and Elaine was concerned that the maid might be in trouble. The maid told her it might be nothing, but she was scared after hearing strange noises from a room.
She asked Elaine if she could come with her because she was afraid to go there on her own to check-in. Elaine agreed to accompany her, and she told the maid to stay right behind her.
The maid thanked her for helping her out. Elaine was hoping that the strange noise was just nothing. But when they entered the room, they heard a loud, cluttering noise.
Even Elaine was a bit scared after that to go inside, but she told the maid to stay behind her and decided to go in there. Elaine found out the room was full of assassins, and they charged at her all at once.
Elaine sensed the sword’s energy, so she was confident there was a sword master in there. Elaine could not believe there was a sword master in their midst; she assumed that someone had hired a sword master for the mission.
It was pretty clear that whoever was behind that must be a rich and powerful person. Elaine already knew their target was Ree, so she needed to stop the assassins anyhow.
Elaine ended up killing all of the assassins except one, who was shocked at how Elaine managed to do that as a newbie who only joined the knights. Elaine broke his ribs by punching him.

Elaine decided to let the assassin live because they needed to interrogate him, and they could not do that if he ended up dead. Elaine looked back but found out that the maid was nowhere to be seen.
Elaine assumed that the maid must have run away from all that chaos. But suddenly, she heard a loud noise from Ree’s room, and Elaine ran towards his room as fast as she could.
She thought Ree was in danger, but when she got there, the maid was trying to attack Ree from the back. Elaine got rid of the maid and realized that the maid was their accomplice with those assassins.
Ree assumed that there must have been an assassin in Elaine’s room, too, after seeing the blood on her face. Elaine was worried that he must have hurt himself because he had lots of blood on his neck.
Ree told her he was fine because that was not his blood. The vice commander reached there, too; he was surprised after learning about another assassin attack.
Ree was not sure why the vice commander was so surprised when he should have gotten used to it by then. The vice commander was worried about Elaine and Ree after spotting blood on their clothes, but they told him it was not their blood and they were fine.
The vice commander was not in good condition because it had barely been a month since the last assassin’s attack. The vice commander suggested they move up their schedule.
