Released on September 15, 2023, a series titled Escape Of The Seven: War Of Survival focuses on seven lead characters becoming a suspect in the case of a missing girl. Developed by Studio S, the series is based on a concept involving revenge and is also known as 7 Escape.
Written by Kim Soon-ok, the series lead cast stars Um Ki-joon playing Matthew’s role, the owner of the biggest mobile platform company. Hwang Jung-eum plays Geum Ra-hee’s role, the CEO of a drama company; Lee Joon plays Min Do-Hyeok, a former gangster living a hopeless life, and LeeYu-bi plays Han Mo-ne’s role, an aspiring idol.

The series focuses on seven lead characters who are different from each other, with the common thing between them being their love and thirst for money. The seven people become the prime suspect in the case of a missing girl, but things turn engrossing when it gets revealed that they were part of an elaborate revenge plan set by someone mysterious.
The series starts with Da-mi, a young high school student’s biological mom, arriving at her foster parent’s house to take her back to her house after abandoning her years ago. Da-mi’s mom decided to find Da-mi and bring her back after she learned about her father’s will involving her child.
Initially, Da-mi is excited to go live with her biological mother, but once she arrives at Ra-hi’s house, she starts to wonder if her mother has an ulterior motive behind bringing her back home after several years due to a genuine incident that occurred at her mom’s place with her affluent grandfather.
Da-mi is astonished with the riches her mother has grown in once she arrives at Ra-hi’s place. Da-mi’s adoptive parents grieve losing Da-mi to her biological mother. If one sees from the outside, Ra-hi initially appears like a sweet person who is going to take care of Da-mi, but if one takes a closer look behind her, the smile hides a conniving person.
Once Da-mi arrives at Ra-hi’s house, she gets excited after seeing an aquarium, and her biological mother informs her that it is a gift from her adoptive parents. Meanwhile, Yang Jin-mo is celebrating the success of Cherry Entertainment, his company, when a mob of men wearing black outfits and a helmet crashes his success party and starts destroying everything around him.
As it turns out, they were after an actress named Jo Su-Ji, whom Yang Jin-mo snatched from their company. A fight ensues that leads to Yang getting injured and Kang Ki-Tak getting arrested. It soon gets revealed that the entire attack was a well-made plan of Yang to score Su-ji, and the man who stabbed Yang was a friend of his.
Meanwhile, Da-mi is heartbroken away from her adoptive family, and she only puts on a brave face in order to avoid hurting them. It also revealed that Ra-hi emotionally blackmailed Da-mi into leaving her adoptive parents by revealing that her parents had to take several loans for her surgeries.
The next day, Da-mi faints at her school following a humiliating incident. Meanwhile, Mo-ne attracts the attention of several agencies after a stunning audition involving Ra-hi.
Mo-ne’s fame is short-lived as an online rumor is set to destroy everything she had worked hard for. The second episode ends with Ra-hi going berserk after Da-mi threatens to tell her grandfather that her mother abandoned her as a child.
