Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 7 was released on Thursday, September 7th, 2023, in most of the regions on the globe and the episode continues the narrative with Mechamaru aka Kokichi Muta, as it was revealed that he was the mole, providing the information to Geto, and the other curse users and curse spirits that interrupted the school festival.
While Muta was promised that they wouldn’t be harming the students from Kyoto, the deal was broken, but since the pact still remained, Mahito had no choice but to use his cursed powers to give Kokichi Muta a new body. Following this they had a fight, which saw multiple new things and which we would love to provide in this article and review the latest episode of amazing ongoing Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 7 Recap And Review
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 7 was titled “The Evening Festival,” and the episode covered the whole Evening Festival Arc up until chapter 82 and also dived a little into the Shibuya incident arc that begins with chapter 83 of th manga. While the episode necessary did not drive too much into the latter arc and only foresee until the entrance of Gojo Satoru, Mappa Studio knew how to excite the viewers for the upcoming episode.
Starting with the recap of the fight, Muta was very confident that he was going to get out of his fight alive or if he had informed Gojo before this exchange, Muta would have worked as a double spy and would have been indeed a very great help to the Jujutsu Sorceres and Gojo alone as the consequences of not knowing this is going to happen Shibuya arc.
Muta was a pretty sick child and since he needed to live off of another body, it was very difficult for him therefore he decided to become a mole and get his body back in return for handing over Gojo if it meant being with his friends.
Muta Vs Mahito
The main event of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 7 was by far the fight between the Muta and Mahito and considering that Geto had laid the veil already, there was no way that the others would have known what could have happened to him. Therefore, Muta was forced to fight Mahito and Geto alone but he was prepared with the ultimate Mechamaru.
For a series such as Jujutsu Kaisen, no one would have expected to see a robotic fight as much as we did on the latest episode but hands down the Mappa studio did an incredible job with it. Muta had tricks up his sleeves to hurt Mahito’s soul and while there were only four chances, Muta had made it work two hits that had forced Mahito to bring out his domain.
The Domain proved too much for Muta at first or what we thought but he was ready to use the simple domain technique also known as the domain for the weak and it had proved too much for Mahito if the curse spirit wasn’t so smart. The overall fight with the middle finger attack by Muta was too good and could have been fatal if actually had landed.

Despite the loss of Muta who would have been very useful in the upcoming arc for the Jujutsu Sorcerer as he knows the plot that Geto and the others are scheming, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 7 was an amazing episode. Muta’s dream to be with his friends in his real body will sadly be a dream.
The Shibuya Incident Arc!
As the fight came to an end, we time skipped to the day of Halloween, October 31st, 2018 (fun fact: the year is 2018 because it was the year the author had started the serialization of the series) at the Shibuya area, where the Shibuya incident is going to be taking place.
A curtain was provided by the curse users and the non-sorcerers were trapped inside the veil All of it was done so that they could bring out Gojo Satoru inside the veil where they would begin their scheming to trap him inside a prison realm as killing him is too much.

While Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 7 was a great episode and speaks greatly about Muta’s reasoning in a fight as to why he did what he did, the next episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will completely make you forget this one.
