Houston’s real-life crazy rich Asians will be returning to Max with House of Ho Season 3. Revolving around the Vietnamese family led by Binh and Hue Ho, House of Ho is the perfect description of what a typical Asian household looks like, except, of course, the Ho family is filthy rich.

Airing since December 2020, House of Ho managed to quickly gather attention due to its reality show format with an Asian twist. The episodes document every member, including Binh and Hue’s children, Judy and Washington. We also see a large part of Washington’s personal life with his wife, Lesley. Aunt Tina, who visits the Ho family regularly, is also seen on the show.

What makes House of Ho so entertaining is that instead of creating fake drama, almost everything we see here is real trauma that Binh and Hue have put Judy and Washington through as they grew up. Being a girl in an Asian household, it’s Judy who felt the misogyny more deeply.

While the first season of House of Ho was more of an introduction to the family, it was season 2 that had significant events that shaped the Ho family. It was also where we were introduced to Kim, Bella, Tran Nguyen, Tammy Gee, Carlton Kon, and Vanessa Kon.

House Of Ho Season 2: Recap

The Ho family returned to Max last year in August with exciting new drama and surprises to talk about. This season of House of Ho featured a deeper insight into Lesley and Washington’s relationship. As glamorous as their life might seem, Lesley was having trouble dealing with Washington’s changing personality.

Moreover, Season 2 also shows Washington leaving his job, which becomes the reason for some heartbreaking moments between Lesley and him. On the bright side, Judy finds herself a caring partner who seems to fit right into their family’s culture and even manages to impress Judy’s strict Vietnamese parents.

Although Judy was now looking forward to having a great life with Nate by her side, it’s hard to ignore the fact that even Nate’s parents are Asian, and they bring all kinds of new problems into Judy’s life. Judy’s family turned out to like Nate much more than she had expected.

The season features Nate and Judy deciding to move to England, and Nate’s family is against it. They feel as though Judy is stealing Nate away from them and wants her to live here in the US with them. Lesley’s stunning cousins, Bella and Kim, come to visit her and are surprised to see that Lesley has retired from her crazy party-girl era.

Washington was trying hard to disappoint his family last season, as he also ended up spending almost $25,000 partying and buying a yacht. However, this does lead to a comical confrontation when Papa Ho asks him about the $25,000 he was given for buying furniture.

Bella’s mom turns out to be Vietnam’s well-known personality, Thanh Hà. We do get to see some emotional family moments with Bella, as she faces a sudden realization that she could have been a better daughter all along.
