Soon, Laurel takes charge and talks with Aunt Julia and they share their feelings and connect. Julia is also moved by seeing Skye thrive among her cousins and be happy. She decides to pull the sale offer but still wants the boys’ dad to buy the house from her because she will not be able to manage the same while living on the west coast.
Adam comes back home to talk with them and after some argument, and seeing how much his sons love their mom’s presence in the home, agrees to buy the house. He will have to sell their Boston house though because they will not be able to afford both and the family agrees.
Now that the matter of the house is settled, Skye and Julia leave for their homes and Adam goes on to settle business as well. Conrad, Belly, Jere, and Steven decide to pull an all-nighter to help Conrad with his exam the next day. They play games and help him learn stuff.
The next day, Steven and Laurel leave but she allows Belly to go to Brown University with the boys and help Conrad mentally. On the way, they have a great time and Conrad goes on to write the exam in a fresh mood. In the meantime, Jeremiah, who is studying at Finch College right now, agrees to show Belly around. She reignites with her passion for playing volleyball and hopes to make it into the team. It is a beautiful moment between the two.
Soon they come back to the Brown parking lot and wait for Conrad to come back from his exam. Belly initiates the conversation about the two of them coming back together and it happens. The two kiss each other passionately but it is broken by Conrad coming back and literally seeing the two. It was very awkward and sad and I don’t know how they are going to move forward with the same.
