Later in the chapter, we see that the narrator tells us that the single stroke from Asta’s swod causes the spell that Lucius had cast over Damnatio to unravel.
Remembering his past with Asta and the Black Bulls, Damnatio can’t believe that the Black Bulls were the ones who ended up saving him from the control of Lucius, but he seemed released nonetheless.
This is when Asta says to Damnatio to sleep now and also promises him that he will wake him up, just as we saw with Sister Lily’s case.
Asta runs toward the wounded bodies of the rest of the Black Bulls members, along with the bodies of the witches. Sacre and others were standing over everyone, and Sacre is still sealing all of their wounds while Finral is tending to them.
This was when the Witchh Queen used her Blood Magic to encase all of the wounded witches and Black Bulls into a Cacoon made of blood. She had already used this spell earlier to treat Asta, and its name is Curse Breaking Blood Cacoon, but this time she was using it on a much more massive scale, as she was attempting to heal everyone at the same time.
After virtually using all of her magic power, the Witch Queen manages to save everyone and including those who are on the verge of dead, like Grey and Gauche.
Witch Queen also mentions that their survival is all thanks to Sacre because she was the one who were keeping everyone alive by sealing off their wounds, and this is what ultimately allowed the Witch Queen to heal them.
However, the decision of the Witch Queen to use up nearly all of her power for this spell comes at a great cause to her, and she asks Venessa to take her place as the next Witch Queen because she is no longer capable of holding this position.
When we see Witch Queen’s face, it is clear that she has aged several decades in just a matter of moments.
