The last chapter of The Gangster Baby of the Duke’s Family left the fans on a small cliffhanger as the all-knowing Leonora seemed confused for the first time in the story. We also saw Silbi and Gaspar reconciling with each other after the former referred to the latter as “Dad.” This was a nice little wholesome touch.

The Gangster Baby of The Duke’s Family Chapter 16: Recap
The chapter opens up with Gaspar and Silbi having a conversation because Silbi used mana with Rini a while back. Gaspar says that Silbi is just a child, so it’s only natural that he makes mistakes and is Clumsy in controlling his emotions. He tells Silbi that he is not as perfect as people think, and so it’s okay for Silbi to make mistakes, admit them and quickly grow up as if he’s just a kid.
Leonora remembers her past life when she was younger than Silbi, and she wonders how her life would’ve been if someone like Gaspar talked to her back then.
She thinks that she messed everything up, but in the present, listening to her dad talk sincerely, she wonders if it clears Silbi’s misunderstandings. Silbi then thanks Gaspar for his words, but he refers to him as “Lord,” which creates a tense atmosphere.
Leonora catches up on this change of atmosphere and tells Silbi that if he refers to Gaspar as Lord, then he would be sad. Gaspar tries to deny it, but his expressions say otherwise, so he explains that “Lord” is an overly formal name, and so he would prefer if Silbi called him by something else. Silbi hesitates for a moment, but then he starts calling Gaspar “Dad.”
Gaspar and Silbi feel embarrassed, so Leonora tries to lighten up the mood by cracking some jokes. Leonora sighs at how stupid boys can be. She then leaves the area to “tighten up” Enoch. Leonora goes to the library and reads the novel, but she can’t find any updates on it. She wonders if it is because of Lucas’s resolute attitude.
Leonora thinks that it would be better if she got Lucas on her side, but she decides to focus first on Enoch’s training. Leonora looks at the book and wonders why it doesn’t have any side stories, as the original one had a lot of details about Tristan. She notices a change at the back of the book, and suddenly a light shines from it, which points towards something.
Leonora follows the light, and it takes her to Tristan. Tristan gets annoyed at seeing Leonora, and so he just tells her that Enoch’s training is over and walks away. Leonora tells him that she came to meet him this time, but Tristan doesn’t listen and asks her to go away. Leonora wonders how she would be able to progress the story if Tristan suddenly walked away, so she runs towards him.
Leonora raises the book in her hands towards him, and Tristan takes the book from her out of curiosity. The contents of the book can only be seen by Leonora, so Tristan wonders why she gave him a blank book. Leonora notices that the book has started shining.
Leonora immediately asks Tristan to return the book, and Tristan gets even more annoyed at her constant nuisances. She then reads the new contents in the book and realizes that it’s a Tristan side story, but there’s something in the book which she doesn’t recognize.
