See You in My 19th Life Episode 9: Recap (Spoilers)
In the last episode, Ji-eum, on the effect of Mi-Gi’s rattle bell, gets a delusion about her past life. She saw a few men walking but could identify one of them who was her love in this life. After getting a sense, she saw Dong Woo going into the building where he could find the loan shark, but Seo Ha lost his chance to catch them.
Later at night, one gang member of the loan sharker left a bag in front of Seo Ha’s door. Seo Ha opens the bags suspiciously and finds evidence of the driver of the dump truck which did the accident. The driver was none other than Ji-eum’s father, Ban Hak-su. Seo-Ha is all shocked, and he decides not to tell this to Ji-eum and hides the paper in his bag in his room.
The next day, Ban Hak-su creates a fuss in MI Hotel, which frustrates Ji-eum. She kicked him out fiercely and handled the situation. Seo-Ha feels proud of her but also pities her. He offers to come to dinner at his home. After having dinner at Seo-Ha’s home, Ji-eum goes to his room. She was trying to hide the gift she bought for him, but she found the bag and found the truth.
Ji-eum herself goes to meet his father to know the full truth. Ban Hak-su reveal he did so to get rid of his debt, but he didn’t want to do so. The brakes for the truck actually failed that day. In a range of guilt and anger, Ji-eum cuts off ties with her father and says it was their last meeting in this life.
Meanwhile, Seo-Ha, to protect Ji-Eum, burns down all the paper from the bag, and while doing so, a tape recording drops. He thinks it can have some more information or evidence. He goes to his and finds a tape recorder. And on listening to the recording, it was revealed, Seo-Ha’s maternal uncle Lee Hae-young was the one who requested for a truck driver from the loan sharker.
Ji-eum also, after having a conversation with Jang Yeon Ok, finds out the accident can only be planned by Lee Hae-young then. She escorts to Seo-Ha’s home and finds him crying alone. Ji-eum, to make him feel better, plays a not of piano, which Joo Won used to play for Seo-Ha. He gets shocked and asks her how she knows this note, and then finally, she reveals that she is the composer and she is Joo Won.
