MBK Entertainment was a record company run by a subsidiary company of Mnet Media. It launched a new girl group, DIA, on 14th September 2015. DIA means Diamond, and also acronyms such as Do It Amazing. The six members were Eunice, HuiHyeon, Yebin, Chaeyeon, Eunchae, and JuEun. The new girl group released their first studio album, Do It Amazing. It was a success for the group as it was 11th on the Gaon Album Chart.
Do It Amazing album was the only album by DIA with its original six members. DIA gained recognition from K-pop fans and won many awards. In 2015, DIA won Special Idol Awards by AfreecaTV BJ Awards. In 2016, DIA won K-pop Singer Award at Korean Culture and Entertainment Awards. In 2017, they won Rising Star Award by Asia Artist Awards. They also have won awards like Photogenic Award and New Hallyu Performance Award 2017 and 2018. DIA got their first win on SBS MTV The Show 2018.
DIA has sweet and innocent concepts which help them build their fan following. In 2016, Seunghee departed from the DIA to focus on her acting career. Later, Eunjin and Jenny left DIA due to health reasons. After seven years, Somyi terminated her contract with the agency. The group decided to disband after their last album, Rooting for You.
PocketDol Studio signed all artists after MBK Entertainment shut down in 2022. In September 2022, they announced the official disbandment of the DIA. Now the girls are focusing on their separate careers.
BinChaenHyeonSeuS (DIA sub-unit):Debut
DIA members made two subunits: BinChaenHyeonSeuS (BCHCS) and Lovely Unit B (LUB). BinChaenHyeonSeuS was the first unit launched on 29th December 2016. It consists of five members of DIA, Eunice, Huihyeon, YeBin, Chaeyeon, and Somyi. They were active for two years.

Eunice
The real name Eunice is Heo Soo Yeon. Eunice is the main vocalist and dancer of the subunit BinChaenHyeonSeuS. She is the leader of the unit. She was born on 2nd September 1991 in Busan, South Korea.
She is fluent in Japanese. Eunice was a former trainee of Star Empire Entertainment and a former member of Jewelry. She is a composer and songwriter for DIA songs. Eunice started her career as a solo singer on 28th May 2023. She has signed with 12ENT, an American Entertainment agency.
Huihyeon
The real name of Huihyeon is Ki Hee Hyun. Huihyeon is the main rapper of the unit. She is also the lead vocalist and dancer. She was born on 16th June 1995 in Namwon, South Korea. Huihyeon’s old stage name was Cathy.
She was a former trainee with Lovelyz. Huihyeon was a participant in Produce 101. Huihyeon signed with another company, HICON Entertainment, in 2022 and started her career as an actress.
YeBin
The real name of YeBin is Baek Ye Bin. Yebin is the vocalist of the unit. She was born on 13th July 1997 in Chuncheon, South Korea. She is one of the composers of DIA songs.
YeBin, and another member, Somyi, became contestants in The Unit, a KBS2 survival show. She ranked second and debuted as UNI.T in 2018. YeBin signed a new contract with Yam Yam Entertainment. On 14th June 2023. she released her single album, Cocktail.
Chaeyeon
The real name of Chaeyeon is Jung Chae Yeon. Chaeyeon is the vocalist and rapper of the unit. She was born on 1st December 1997 in Suncheon, South Korea. In 2016, Chaeyeon participated in Produce 101, a survival show. She ranked seventh and became part of IOI. In 2022, Chaeyeon signed a new contract with BH. Entertainment. She is focusing on both her singing and acting career.
Somyi
The real name of Somyi is Ahn Som Yi. Somyi is the dancer, rapper, and lead vocalist of the unit. She was 26th January 2000 in Changwon, South Korea. She was the youngest and tallest member among the five girls.
She joined DIA on 19th April 2017 with another member, Jueun. Somyi was a participant in The Unit, a KBS2 survival show. On 9th January 2022, Somyi terminated her contract. She took a break due to a health issue. In 2023, she works as a BJ (Broadcast Jockey) for Panda Tv.
BinChaenHyeonSeuS (DIA sub-unit): Albums & Songs
BinChaenHyeonSeuS (BCHCS) released its first digital single, First Miracle DIAID I, on 29th December 2016. The unit had songs on DIA Albums, Love Generation (2017). The songs were LOOK, Kiss Me, You Always Try To Be Your Heart, and Can’t Stop. There is a music video for LOOK.
