Hidden Love is a Chinese drama that has won the hearts of audiences with the amazing chemistry of the duo Zhao Lu Si and Chen Zhe Yuan, our main leads. The drama premiered on 20 June 2023, but the craze it has built in this minimal time is astounding.

This romantic youth drama follows Sang Zhi, a young girl. She has a crush on a guy named Duan Jia Xu, who is five years older than her. He visits her brother to play games.

A few years later, Sang Zhi joined the university Duan used to study at. The latter has converted his childhood fun time into a passion and a means of living as he is a successful programmer in a gaming company. Love begins to take over with all the things, big and little, that the two share.

The story is now advancing, giving some butterflies to the viewers. Sang Zhi’s birthday celebrations are like a fairytale for her, and she cannot contain her excitement as her childhood crush confesses to liking her too.

She comes back home after spending time with Duan Jia Xu. She opens his present, which is a camera. Sang Zhi finds a blurry hot picture of Duan.

She receives a text from Duan, who wants to know if she likes the gift. She clicks the picture of the blurry photo on the camera from her phone and sends it to Duan.

He gets embarrassed as the picture was accidental, and he had no idea about it. Still, just as the charming hero he is, he steals the opportunity to flirt with Shan Zhi.

When she texts him good night, she receives a message and money from her brother for her birthday. She feels it is the right time to inform him that she might start dating someone soon. Sang Zhi tells him that the guy is older, to which her brother objects.

Sang Zhi also wears the bracelet Duan gave her and clicked a picture of it. Her friend Ning Wei notices this and also informs their girl gand about Duan’s gifts. When Sang Zhi decides to accept Duan, Ning Wei suggests waiting.

When Duan asks Sang Zhi if she’s free, Ning tells her to deny it. Finally, in the third attempt, she lets Sang Zhi say yes.

Sang Zhi’s happy mood is ruined when Duan cannot make it to their “date.” He is busy working overtime, and it happens for days. Finally, when he’s free, he receives a call from a nursing home to inform him about his father’s deteriorating health.

After waiting for so many days, Duan and Sang Zhi finally meet. Upset at first, both clear the misunderstandings. Sang gives him the marshmallows she made, and he loves them.

Trying to shoot his shot again, he says that Sang promised to be his girlfriend, which she denies. Later, Duan promises to try his best to pursue her.

The next day, Duan joins Sang in her class, and he thinks he blends in well because he looks young. The two are clicked in the cute moment by Wang Wang.

Sang puts her head on the table facing away from Duan. He gets close, looks at her, and pokes her. She looks at him, startled, staring at him with big beautiful eyes. The episode ends.
