Kim Joo-hwan’s action-filled crime series, Bloodhounds, has been collecting tons of great reviews recently, from critics and viewers alike, mainly owing to its classic yet interesting plot coupled with skilled actors that make the show worth a watch.
This series’ director, as well as screenwriter Kim Joo-hwan, has already worked in great shows and movies like My Heart Puppy, Midnight Runners, The Divine Fury, and many others. The dramatic storyline centers around Kim Gun-woo and Hong Woo-jin, two boxers that get involved in the world of personal loans and debt collecting only to find out that something bigger is already at play. Bloodhounds: Plot of the Show
After having an interesting match together, Gun-woo and Hong Woo-jin decide to become friends. Both of these strong boxers share a history of working in the Marines, which is why they’re able to connect very easily. Woo-jin realizes that Gun-woo is a sincere and hardworking boxer that could go a long way as his strength is way over the normal levels. After seeing his mother threatened after taking a loan, Gun-woo decides to come up with a plan that could guarantee him good money.
When he finds out that Woo-jin is interested in the plan as well, they team up and go after the biggest sharks in the loan world as they discover that they were wrongfully extorting money from poor and helpless people by trapping them in their evil schemes. Kim Myeong-gil is shown as the CEO of Smile Capital, the main man behind the money business. Choi Tae-ho is another loan shark who’s past his evil days and now is seen giving people who can’t afford treatment money without any interest.

After going deep down the rabbit hole of loans, they find out that a whole business thrives on poor people’s money and they start thinking of ways to bring the whole thing down.

President Choi comes up with a foolproof plan to escape his enemies, but things seem to be going exactly the opposite of what he wished for.
Episode 5:
Gun-woo and Woo-jin barely manage to escape a threat and try to make themselves better prepared for what is coming for them. President Choi tries to get ahold of more info to help with his plan.
Episode 6:
Feeling completely exposed after what happened to him, Myeong-gil decides to fix President Choi as his target. Gun-woo and the others continue their preparations.
Episode 7:
As much as they’d wanted things to go according to plan, all of Woo-jin and Gun-woo’s efforts go in vain after facing a setback. Gun-woo and the others then decide to carry out a revenge plan and team up with someone we’d least expect.
Episode 8:
The Bloodhounds season finale shows Gun-woo and Woo-jin trying to take down Myeong-gil with everything they’ve got. With their hearts filled with emotion and brains with their rightful duty, Woo-jin and Gun-woo could have fate on their side.
