Belly is all pretty and dressed up, and Jeremiah joins her for the same, and they have a picture together.
Soon, at the table, Jeremiah gets to learn about the fact that his mother might not have too long because of cancer. She has been hiding this intel from him because she knew it would break his heart as he is the most sensitive. The worst of it all was the fact that Conrad knew about it and did not tell his brother at all.
It broke Jeremiah’s heart, and he left the hall. Although, Belly did not know what was up with her partner and, with the dance about to start soon, she was in desperate need of a partner. This was Conrad stepped up to fill the position.
As for Kevin, he had lost all the money he saved on poker. This meant he could not even get a tux that Shayla wanted him to wear. Thus, he borrows an old tux from his father. The season ended with Belly and Conrad on the shore, where they talked about their feelings and, finally, addressed them all. It was a beautiful ending, to be honest, as we see them kissing.
This means that the second season will probably have more of their romance story and how the future will unravel for them. Also, the trailer suggests that there is new stuff for everyone meaning their story arcs will be getting better. Even Laurel has found a spark after all these years with Cleveland, and it would be interesting to see what happens next for them.
