She was abused, called a witch and a monster, and shunned by all the people of the town, but one man never stopped believing in her, and that man was none other than Castian. As Arendel got caught and prisoned in the magical tower, Castian negotiated with Infestis and came to Arendel’s rescue. Arendel, who had fallen into the pits of despair, couldn’t contain the joy she felt as she burst out crying.
May I Kill You, Your Majesty? Chapter 29 was filled with various emotions, but contentment was still the most prominent among them. The man Arendel hates so much is the one who has helped her yet again, but she is still unaware of this fact. Castian, the prince of the kingdom, has disguised himself as a messenger, but will his disguise fail this time? As we see Castian bringing Arendel to his home in the last chapter, there’s still a possibility that Arendel will discover the truth in the upcoming chapters.
Aside from the mystery of Castian being the Prince, there also lies the mystery of Arendel’s ring. A ring she obtained from a strange old lady who seemed to be the older version of Arendel herself has been causing trouble ever since the start of the story. Arendel still hasn’t found that old lady, and the ring continues to cause more trouble as it attacks the duke, causing people to call Arendel a monster. Will the secret of this ring be revealed?
May I Kill You, Your Majesty? Chapter 29: Recap
The chapter opens up with Castian thinking back to how people called Arendel a monster and abused her. He finds it hard to believe that someone as pure as Arendel could be a monster, and so his mind gets clouded with conflicting thoughts.
All his confusions come crashing down as he lays his eyes upon Arendel sitting in a secluded corner while her whole body seems to be shaking. He walks up to Arendel and comforts her while she keeps saying that she didn’t do anything. Castian says that he already knew that if she didn’t do as if she had that power, then he would be the first to get frozen.
Arendel, getting overwhelmed by the kindness shown towards her after so long, hugs Castian while almost breaking down. Seeing Arendel act like this, Castian makes a vow to himself that the most important thing for him at the moment is to provide safety and ease to Arendel. He unlocks the chains surrounding Arendel and tells her to go away, but she gets hesitant as she wonders whether she would be allowed to just leave.
Castian reassures her that the Prince will always protect his people while thinking back to how he negotiated with Infestis for Arendel’s freedom. Even though Infestis was weary of Prince’s actions at first, he had to go along with it because he had no other choice. Arendel gets angry as it was hard for her to find the list, and now it got returned just for her freedom. She starts crying as she tries her hardest to help the prince, but she fails. Castian holds Arendel and wipes her tears; he then tells her that the prince enjoyed exchanging letters with her.
Castian tells Arendel that the prince always saw each day as survival and nothing; he used to think that he had nothing to look forward to then. How could he be happy when the prince started receiving letters from Arendel, he started to see his days differently; he started seeing meaning in them. He tells Arendel that she will never disappear as the prince will always remember her, and he warns her never to steal the little joy she gives the prince. Arendel also thinks of how much she enjoyed writing letters to the prince and wonders if he is different from how she thought he would be.
Castian then takes Arendel to a mansion which she recalls as the one from which she got kidnapped. He leaves her in the main room and goes inside. Arendel starts thinking about what she would do next as the Duke and Motis won’t leave her alone now when suddenly someone slams a cup of tea on her table. Arendel wonders who this man is as he greets her.
