To Hell With Being A Saint, I’m A Doctor is a story that follows the life of Shin Yoosung. ‘Shin’ in Korean translates to God, and just like his name, he was the God in the Medical field. He was famous in the medical world as a genius doctor—a doctor who could also save the dead.
The operating room is more like his home. He never rests, and anyone looking for him can find him there. He lived an intense life. At first, it was alright for him as the joy when he saved someone who was on the verge of death motivated him to continue.
However, thanks to all the rumors, patients had been flooding in, and he hadn’t had a chance to rest. He was treated like a portable medical device that could be used anytime. He started to wonder if the title and all of it was meaningless until he didn’t.
Did people say that one’s life would flash before their eyes before they die? Because that was the case for Shin Yoosung. All the flashbacks of him in the operating room were coming to him when he was dying after getting hit by a truck on the road.
He opens his eyes; everything is unfamiliar. There is a couple looking at him and calling him by the name ‘Ray’. Confused if he hasn’t died, he realizes that he has been reborn. It all seems like a cosplay to him. He is now a baby. This new place is different from the normal world. His mother is a mage and can do real magic. She heals all of his wounds in a swish.
He was reborn into a whole new world. A world where monsters and subspecies similar to humans exist. Because of that, people are easily attacked by monsters. As a result, people have chosen paths dedicating their lives to growing stronger. Another fascinating point was that they decided to develop magic rather than science here.
Previously on To Hell With Being A Saint, I’m A Doctor Chapter 47: Recap
In To Hell With Being A Saint, I’m A Doctor Chapter 47, we previously saw that Hong Yong introduces himself as one of the seven messengers of the Dane family. Ray also gets introduced to Jeok Yong, So Yong, and Hyul Yong.
Ray instructs them to take care of the child. He says that this child has the makings of an assassin because of the fact that this child managed to survive despite all the enemies passing through that area.
The three Yongs refuse to take care of the child or teach the child any techniques as they have been assigned to protect Ray at all times. And on top of that, a few of their identities cannot be leaked to the public since any leaked information may lead to Ray’s danger.
Ray is smart. He now, instead of asking, commands them to take Merry and teach the kid skills of an assassin. They are now obliged, so they agree. He assures Merry that everything will be alright and that he will be there in a while.
Having said that, Ray and Sword Master Duke Zahard encounter each other during the fight. Unlike Iriel’s worries, a large amount of holy energy used allowed them to take the lead, and it managed to break down the enemy’s morale.
Just when everything seems to be going well, God arrives and proves them all wrong. Can’t wait to see what happens next, right? Come along to join Ray on his journey.
