Actor Ezra Miller has been headlining news outlets for a little over two years now, and for all the wrong reasons. The actor is famous for being a part of much-appreciated movies like The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Standford Prison Experiment, and Fantastic Beasts Franchise, among many others. The actor is currently also associated with the DC Universe, where he portrays the role of The Flash in several movies and series.
The actor has had an amazing career in terms of his movie and series choices and the fellow actors that they have worked with. They went from working with Abyss: Review, Characters and Plot Analysis in Perks of Being a Wallflower to starring in the Harry Potter spin-off series, the Fantastic Beasts series, and finally landing the role of Barry Allen in 2016.
The actor announced themselves as a queer-identifying individual in 2012 and received support from fans. They also took the courage to let the world know their story during the time of the MeToo movement, revealing that as a minor, he also fell victim to the casting couch. What started as Miller’s quest to find his true self and them being true to his fans and the world soon turned into something very dark and deranged.
Though not confirmed but right after their parent’s divorce in 2019, the actor’s mental health seemed to have taken a heavy toll. They became a bit paranoid and took extra measures like wearing bulletproof vests because they thought that members of the Ku Klux Klan were out to get rid of them. Though it was clearly obvious that the actor was suffering, their management denied any such allegations.
Miller’s String of Controversies
The Flash actor has been in controversy for two years now and for various reasons. But his string of bad behaviors was there right from the beginning. In 2011, sometime before the release of the movie, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, the actor was taken into custody for possessing marijuana. At the time, their actual charges were dropped by the court, considering it was their first offense and the act was written for disorderly conduct.
After this, they maintained orderly behavior for a few years, but in early 2020, their misconduct came out to the public once again. The actor was spotted outside a club where they were strangling a woman and pushing her to the ground, and videos of this incident circulated on social media like wildfire. The woman stepped forward in an interview with Variety and mentioned that it was supposed to be all fun, but Miller turned very serious very quickly.
It was after this incident that Miller took to his social media to talk about the Ku Klux Klan and their recent activities and how they were coming for him. The authorities confirmed that there had been no such activities from any member of the existing Ku Klux Klan. Next comes the previous year’s misconduct in Hawaii.
The actor was arrested because of his aggressive behavior towards some customers at a bar, and Miller was charged with harassment, but the case did not really get anywhere. Soon after this incident, the police were called once again because of Miller’s refusal to leave a privately held party and his violent behaviors, which made him throw a chair at a woman, injuring her heavily.
The actor was arrested and fined no more than five hundred dollars for his misconduct. While all of these behaviors should have been alarming, most of it was either ignored or treated very lightly. But one of the cruelest allegations that were made against the actor was by the parents of the eighteen-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes.
Her parents accused Miller of threatening the then twelve-year-old Tokata with violence, intimidation, fear, and even drugs. They alleged further that the actor had been manipulating and grooming their young, impressionable daughter. While the parents believe that Miller was a significant negative influence on their daughter, making her drop out of school and providing her with drugs of all sorts, the young teen claims otherwise.
She has expressed her disappointment in her family for trying to take over her life and coming out with lies. There has been no comment from Miller or their management regarding the incident, and all of Miller’s social media has been deactivated, with the court providing a temporary restriction order against the actor.
This incident made headlines but still did not stop Miller from approaching strange kids and trying to lure them into their fantasies of being a higher power being. Another family from Massachusetts claimed that Miller had approached their little child and made him feel uncomfortable by having a gun in his hand. The court issued another restraining order against them.
Miller also had a variety of sources claiming that they were cultivating marijuana illegally and also involved little children in their smoking sessions. The year 2022 ended with another controversy bringing light to the actor’s severely disturbed public behavior.
The actor was accused of having broken into private property and stealing a few bottles of alcohol from their home. They were charged with trespassing and theft, and the court proceedings dragged on for a long time till they finally agreed to trespass but denied the charges of burglary on January 13th, 2023.
Throughout these incidents, the actor used the words ‘Jesus’ and ‘Messiah’ to describe themselves, even saying that their relationship with Iron Eyes would have brought an apocalypse over the world. The actor has continuously talked of some higher powerful being and their connection with them.
Finally, in August 2022, the actor’s spokesperson confirmed that they were suffering from some “complex mental health issues” and that they had gone through long periods of intense suffering that had negatively affected the actor a lot, and they were undergoing rigorous treatment for it.
