A story of love, loss, and all that happens in between is what the Australian show, Love Me is all about. The show premiered its first season on December 26th, 2021, and is all set to launch its second installment in April 2023.
The premise of the show is set in Melbourne, Australia, around the complex lives of an average Australian family. Written by lead writer Alison Bell, the story of this particular family get its kickstart with the help of an unfortunate death in the family.
In season one, the Mathieson children lose their disabled mother, which leads to the rest of the family, including the father and the two kids, depending on each other and learning to be an actual real family. The six-part season had Bojana Novakovic in the role of Clara Mathieson along with Hugo Weaving as Glen Mathieson, the widowed father.
Actor William Lodder plays the role of Aaron Mathieson alongside Bob Morley as Peter K. Kim Gyngell appeared in the first season as a minor role of Richard, but he is confirmed to be back in the show for good. The original cast of the show is back together for the most part, along with some new, equally exciting additions.
The show Love Me is Binge’s first original production inspired by the Swedish series Alska Mig.
Love Me Season 2: The Plot
The show has established right from the start that it has a mix of everything from romance to comedy to melodrama, and season two is confirmed to get even more complex and complicated in all of these aspects. Season one of the show explored love in all different ages and roles. This season is set on exploring loss and grief in more depth.
The show beautifully explores and depicts raw human emotions sprinkled in the lives of a middle-class family, which is probably why it resonates so much with the people of Australia. Season two of the show promises more complications in the newfound love life of Glenn, the patriarch of the family. He is sixty and so in love.
Clara and Aaron also find love while finding their path and purpose in their lives. Season two will pick up nine months into where we left off the first season. Clara and Aaron are just about done settling in life when love comes along and stirs things up.
We will get to see the ups and downs of their lives and the lives of the supporting characters, who also continue to find their space in the world.

The second installment of the show is also going to have a total of six episodes with a running time of no more than thirty minutes.
