Bank Of Dave Filming Locations
The pre-production for the film began on 8 January 2022 and wrapped up on 28 February 2022. The film’s post-production began on 18 April 2022 and was completed on 22 December 2022.
The filming locations for the film were around Burnley, but most of the scenes were shot in Bradford, Leeds, and Wakefield in Yorkshire. The film has a run time of 107 minutes, and every minute of the film is worth your time.
Burnley Train Station
The beautiful train station was used in the film to shoot the scene where the audience witnessed Hugh traveling back to London after a meeting with Dave and his customers. The train won’t take Hugh directly to London
The scene with Dave in a court was shot at the real Burnley Magistrate Court for the film’s authenticity. The exterior of the courthouse was shot on Parker Lane in Burnley. The scene shows Hugh racing from London to help Dave when he faces pushback from the banking establishment against his community bank’s idea.
The Central Square on Wellington was selected by the production house to be used as the FRB office in the film for its contemporary architecture and glass architecture. The scene shows Hugh talking to the Financial Regulation Board about the possibility of issuing a new banking license and his discussion of Dave’s situation.
The beautiful location was selected by the pre-production team to film the scene with the Burnley Football Club’s Real Stadium. The Turf Moor has a close connection with Dave as he has sponsored its Cricket Field Stand for around fifteen years.
Dave’s House
The beautiful house was selected by the pre-production team to shoot the scene where the Lancashire village sits at Pendle Hill, which is a short drive from Colne and Burnley. The house used belongs to the real Dave Fishwick in the Sabden region.
Burnley Streets
The area surrounding Burnley Streets was used to film the scene where the audience witnessed Hugh stopping to ask for directions on Walsden Grover near the Carholme Avenue corner. This is the first Burnley scene that shows the London lawyer arriving.
Dakota Hotel
The streets outside the Dakota Hotel were used by the production team to shoot the scene where Hugh helps his friend Megan get into the Taxi outside the hotel. The hotel is located at 8 Russell Street in Leeds City Centre.
The astounding bar was used by the team to film the scene with Hugh meeting Megan at Salon Prive in Leeds. Megan asks Hugh about his trip to North London in this scene. It is on the first floor of the Dakota hotel, giving the scene its glass-walled roof.
Duck And Drake Pub
The location was selected by the team to shoot the scene where the audience witnessed Dave discussing the idea of opening a community bank with his wife. The pub is also used to film Dave celebrating his initial idea.
