The recent chapter opens up with Dean, who after fighting an immense battle, he sees a mirage, although at first, he believes that he is someone similar to him but later finds out that he is not, and believes his instincts he concludes that he is someone else, this was the time when he finally finds out that until now he was playing in the palm of his hand, and admit it as a mirage, it is his complete defeat.
When the guy finally shows up, he says that he saw Dean’s fight and it was incredible, and from nowhere thanked him and reveals that because of Dean, the plan was successfully executed. When Dean tried to attack him by saying that it is getting more dangerous for him, he gets a really fatal shock, which knocks Dean down when his vessel’s limit has been reached.

Later in the chapter, when Dean says that he is out of his energy, the mirage guy says that although it is too bad for Dean it is a good thing for himself, this was then this mysterious guy snaps a finger and says that this is the end for Dean, and we see a silhouette when the mysterious blows his final attack on Dean. It seems like it is the end for Dean, but we are not about it yet.
The scene changes to Ran, when she wonders why is she doing all this mess, she also believes that she somehow went overboard enjoying the fight, she has forgotten her role and her responsibility, and after what she did, there is no going back, but to calm herself down, she blows a punch on her face.
Believing it is her only chance, Excalibur thinks that Ran’s behavior has changed, she believes in this situation, Ran didn’t lose her fighting spirit but instead became cal, this was how she expected her to be. This is when Excalibur believes that she should not give her any second chance.
When Excalibur was getting all set to attack Ran with the “Sinister Thing”, we can see the terror in Ran’ eyes, where she thinks that she must somehow prevent this to happen, but at the same time believes that someone can even tell by looking at it, that that the attack from the Sinister Thing is absolutely unstoppable, not only that, rather than blocking, the moment you touch it, your existence will be over.
Even after all this, Ran believes that the only fact that should be on her mind right now is to somehow stop the attack. Excalibur believes that it is not something one can achieve simply by being strong, the Death Dragon’s Breath is truly a Miracle created by willpower alone, which resulted in Ran’s last struggle.

During Ran’s fall, she ended up hugging Teacher and says that she doesn’t have to risk her life, and if it is a matter of risking life, then certainly, it is for her the guardian to do, but still, she begs her to protect, Dean, kids, and the village.
When she was taking her last breath in the Teacher’s hands, a large explosion takes place some distance away from them, this was also a huge shock for Teacher as well, but this was not something that could make them even worry, because someone has arrived to help them, which will change the whole perspective of the fight, and who will take revenge on behalf of Ran.
The scene changes to Dean, where we see that he is on the floor and the mysterious guy is nowhere to be seen, Dean says that his body is feeling heavy for him, he cannot feel both of his legs, and he has lost the way to use Karma, as the result of which, his body, the vessel, is slowly collapsing, and now she believes that this is how the real death actually feel like.
This was something very new for Dean as well even though he died many times before, he says that it is way real from the deaths he has experienced in the tower. However, he thought he had seen something kaleidoscope of images, this was a direct reference to the myth, where the dying person sees images of all of their memories that instant before their death, trying to prove the phrase, “My life flashed before my eyes”.
Dean says that there are not as many memories as he thought, but still, it is more than enough for him. Dean says that it wasn’t a bad life for him, he believes that the world will go on without him, the rest of them do something about it, and they might even do better than a guy like him, but while remembering Mary, he says that that person is a big problem, and because of her, he will defiantly be scolded to death later and believes that he has given her nothing but regrets until the end.
When Dean was thinking about all this stuff, he heard someone’s voice, saying, “Mary Gennos, is that the name of your first love?”, Yes, someone has arrived to help him, who was none other than Tae-Won Kim!! Kim asks Dean to stop making such a fuss and get up and says that it is still too early for a ‘protagonist to collapse.
