The Premise of the Show
The show is based in 1983 in Los Angelos when the dealing of drugs like cocaine took a greater influence in the market, and it became a matter of concern. The show depicts its impact on the city and the constant rise in the distribution f crack and how it changed lives during that time and even destroyed many.
It closely follows a series of lives that are distinctly apart from each other, wherein they gradually come in contact with each other and somehow cross paths with each other hence, kickstarting the story in the way we know it.
It begins with a 20-year-old drug dealer named Franklin saint, who is then fated to meet a famous Mexican wrestler that he used to admire, a young kid named Gustavo Zapata. Soon they are followed by the introduction of a CIA agent who is behind the solving of cases named Teddy McDonald.
And last but not least is the female protagonist of the show, Lucia Villueneva, who is actually the niece of a dangerous and infamous crime boss. In the most complex and unusual way, their lives get intervened as they find themselves in situations and feelings that they cannot escape any longer.
