lue Box is the story of a young boy Inomata Taiki who is in love with his senior, Chinatsu Kano. Kano is the captain of the Basketball Team at Eiemi Junior And Senior High School, while Taiki is a part of the Badminton Team.
Kano and Taiki see each other every day during their early morning practice sessions. Although they never spoke to each other. Taiki is deeply in love with Kano though Kano has no idea about his feelings.
Taiki wants to confess, but his friend and fellow team member Kasahara Kyo advises against it. At the moment, the difference between Kano and Taiki is like night and day. He must elevate himself to her level before even attempting to ask her out. Taiki agrees and starts practicing twice as hard as it turns out. Fate has other plans for their relationship.
Kano’s parents had to move abroad for their work, and since Kano’s Mom and Taiki’s Mom are old friends, Kano moves into Taiki’s house for the time being. Having your crush living with you might seem amazing, but at the same time, it must be very nerve-racking. But Taiki is over the moon. This just makes him work twice as hard now as he desperately wants to impress Kano.

Taiki finally confessed his love to Kano, and she accepted. It truly was a heartwarming moment. There they were, in the middle of a frozen lake. Taiki ran the whole way from the train station just to be able to see her. Kano was equally happy to see him. Running on ice went as smoothly as you would expect. Taiki stumbles and falls to his knees.
Kano kneels to be on the same level, and that is when Taiki confesses. Kano hides her face out of embarrassment. She tells Taiki that she likes him too. Taiki can’t contain his happiness as he says his heart is beating out of his chest. Before long, Kano’s parents came to fetch her, and after seeing Taiki, they offered him a ride back to the train station.
Kano and Taiki held hands the whole way. Back at the Ski Resort, Taiki tells Kasahara that everything went well and that they are a couple now. Taiki enjoyed the rest of his trip and headed back home.
He became aware of the latest obstacle he had to overcome. If their family learns of their relationship, they might not approve of Kano and Taiki staying under the same roof. After discussing with Kano, they decide to keep their relationship a secret for the time being.
