The latest chapter opens up with Lyla, who, when she jumps into the river, Viorst shows up and rescues her. However, Lyla begs him to let her die. When he asks her what she is trying to do and if she is willing to leave him behind and die, she says that he should let her go.
While further explaining to him, Lyla says that she is a witch, he might not have known since he can not smell, but her body gives off an awful stench, and that is the reason why people call her the cursed witch. That is also why her house was destroyed because the people of the town attempted to burn her to death, and that is also why she wants Viorst to leave her on her own.
Beast’s Flower Chapter 15: Recap and Review
Later in the chapter, we see that Viorst assures her that he is not a witch and she is just an ordinary girl; however, at the same time believes that he should not say “ordinary” as he thinks that she is quite adorable to him. When Lyla says that he is a liar and he doesn’t mean it, Viorst says that he is not a liar. In fact, the villagers are because he does not think that there is a relation between smelling bad and being a witch.
Along with that, Viorst asks her if she has truly devoured any children as the rumors say, or has a disease spread over this land just because of her, and of course, as that was not true, he says that she has never done anything of the sort, and yet they branded her a witch just because of her stench.
This is when Viorst grabs her hand and says that this place does not suit someone like her, and that is why he wants her to come with him, and then kisses her hand. When Lyla tries to say that she cannot go with him, Viorst makes an adorable face that forces her to say yes.
Later in the chapter, we see that when they were all ready to leave, seeing so many carriages, Lyla finally believes that Viorst is indeed a noble, as she was finding it hard to believe at first as he only wears the same clothes.
Beast’s Flower Chapter 16: Spoilers and Expectations
With this, Viorst thinks that while this is nothing when compared to an Imperial Coach, perhaps, it was just enough to make him look like a noble. In addition to that, he thinks that it is only a short time since he told Sury; he wanted to hide the fact that he was the Crown Prince until he reached the palace and believes that he must have suffered quite a bit to procure this.
