A friendless otaku Sakamichi Onoda recently enrolled in a high school. Sakamichi Onoda longs for friends. An eager teenager Sakamichi Onoda the titular character of “Yowamushi Pedal,” repeatedly tries to make friends. He is ever ready and optimistic to make new friends. However, his relentless pursuit is always met with failure.
So, how does he remedy his lonesome state? The school’s anime club is the answer. However, the optimism is short-lived, as the club has been disbanded. A revival plan strikes the mind of Sakamichi, and in a crusade to revive the club, he inadvertently discovers his innate ability to cycle. Our protagonist Sakamichi is not just an anime otaku! He also loves his “mamachari.”

Yowamushi Pedal: Limit Break Episode 18 Recap
An intense last-lap bicycle race is the setup that greets us in the 18th installment titled “Watergate Dive.” The rain-laced tracks are proving perilous for the competitors. This worries Onoda. He also notices a bump in an upcoming puddle but only too late. He finds controlling his bike arduous and is tensed about losing control. While these thoughts consume him, they are not the only source of his unease. He is lagging behind Imaizumi and Midosuji, chasing them as fast as he can.
On the other hand, Imaizumi and Midosuji are a force to reckon with! They are determined and are eying victory as they have been cycling for three days; Onoda can only wonder about the depleting stamina and exhaustion that Imaizumi and Midosuji must be facing.
The scene shifts to a fatigued Imaizumi, who is seen ridiculing Midosuji. Don’t get me wrong, Midosuji is no less. He retorts with a taunt as well. None are here to give up; emerging as the victor is the only choice. However, the cruel tricks of the damp day are not over. A huge puddle awaits them.
A conversation ensues between the apex riders concerning the puddle. Is slow and steady the answer to crossing the puddle? One cannot be more wrong. Their speed shall not lessen. The crafty and gibbering Midosuji traps Imaizumi with his gift of gab. He convinces Imaizumi that going fast is the only option and their fate shall be the ultimate decider. However, Imaizumi is no fool, and he realizes the trap set by Midosuji, but is it too late? Does anyone back down? Who emerges the victor of this nail-biting race? One needs to watch the Episode.
