Uzaki-Chan Wants To Hang Out! Episode 4 Review
In the fourth episode of the second season of “Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out,” titled “Uzaki-chan Wants to Be Number One,” Hana meets up with her friends during the college festival to inform them about her activities at the Occult Study Circle before finding that Ami had been a member for years.
Even worse, Ami and Itsuhito assert that many girls like Shinichi, causing her to second-guess everything she says. Itsuhito questions Shinichi’s fondness for her because he has never admitted it to anyone. It is a few days later when Hana finally meets Ami and Itsuhito after attending the university festival and visiting the Occult Study Circle with Shinichi.
Even if her father is present, the young woman doesn’t hesitate to inform him about the recent happenings or to reveal that Shinichi likes her. Even though Itsuhito and Ami have known this for a while, they are disappointed that they haven’t taken any action and are hiding their emotions. Isuhito gently prods Hana by saying that while the assertions stated by Occult Study Circle are valid, Shinichi is not backed up by any proof. Ami has been disappointed that neither of them has taken any action despite the happenings at the campus festival and the possibility that she might be misinterpreted.
She needs to approach Shinichi about his sentiments because he says she might be misinterpreting things. Nevertheless, Ami continued to claim that Shinichi is extremely popular with the girls. She also claims that he gets checked out quite frequently by the opposite sex when he works at the cafe. This adds even more pressure to her claims. Hana is embarrassed by Ami’s father’s admission that she has also checked him out on numerous occasions, which makes Hana feel uncomfortable and causes her to overthink everything.
In response, she claims that she does not look at him with lewd eyes and that the claim is untrue. Ami claims she doesn’t like him, but she admits that all she sees is his body. Later, when Shinichi enters the cafe, Ami lacks the guts to look him in the eye. Several days later, Shinichi goes to Hana’s house, where she shows him the basics of cooking. Uzaki hasn’t changed his upbeat disposition or his continual smile since the two of them attended the Occult Study Circle. Obtaining Shinichi to publicly express his feelings is the only thing she hasn’t done.
Until now, only Uzaki has claimed that he likes her, but Shinichi hasn’t said anything. She must get him to confess to her directly. Once they reach Hana’s home, Shinichi immediately starts learning from Tsuki, the mother of her friend. Sakurai, to everyone’s surprise, is so obsessed with getting everything right that he often measures the exact weights of various ingredients. Tsuki, however, explains to him that cooking is all about rough estimates, so precision isn’t necessary.
Sakurai takes criticism seriously, as he always does, and goes back to his work to avoid mistakes. When Uzaki approaches Tsuki, she is lounging on the couch. She probes her mother’s opinion about Sakurai in general. She is approached by Uzaki to talk about a big issue that has been bothering her lately. Tsuki has previously misinterpreted some of Shinichi’s acts, so she utterly misinterprets what her daughter is trying to say. Sakurai continues by saying that since Shinichi is well-liked among the girls, she wants some wise counsel from her pals. Tsuki notices her daughter’s concerns, and Hana returns to feeding his cats before she can give any assistance.
She tells herself that it is obvious that females like Shinichi are deceiving her once more. Shinichi requests permission for Sakurai to use her first name from now on to thank her for all that she has done for him. However, Sakurai is still unsure how to call her. Despite her initial surprise, Tsuki lets her daughter’s friend use her first name. Hana’s fears are heightened when she returns to the kitchen and hears Shinichi address her mother as Tsuki. Furthermore, she has yet to obtain a confession from him to back up her assertions that he likes her. The problem isn’t her confession or her fears, but the girls that stare at Shinichi lewdly.
