With the aid of Meme Oshino, an expert in the paranormal, Koyomi Araragi, a third-year high school student who has survived a vampire attack and is now a quasi-vampire, serves as the main character of the story. Koyomi makes an effort to live in a normal classroom where students, despite possessing some supernatural talents, such as resurrection, frequently come across girls who are experiencing supernatural issues.
Koyomi sees a woman plummeting from the top of the stairs as he climbs the stairs. He manages to grab her, but the woman, Hitagi Senjougahara, is noticeably thin. Koyomi thought it was normal but soon recognized there was a problem.
He visits Tsubasa Hanekawa to learn further about Hitagi since he is determined to assist her. After he attempts to contact her, she rejects his assistance and goes on to staple his mouth, warning him to stay away from her. Koyomi, who isn’t paying attention to her, demands instead before running after her to demonstrate that the cut she caused in Koyomi’s mouth has completely healed.
She accepts Koyomi’s assistance after becoming persuaded by this and learning that he has been connected with strange things. Hitagi is brought to Oshino Meme by Koyomi, the same person who assisted him. In the past, Hitagi Senjougahara’s mother had a connection to a cult and had invited one of its members to their home.
When the cult member tried to physically harass Hitagi Senjougahara, her mom did nothing to stop him. Hitagi Senjougahara then defended herself by hurting the man, and as a result, the family had the mother removed. The curse, according to Oshino, is a crab, a strange thing that causes you to lose some weight.
In Hitagi’s case, she had personal matters and had made an effort to absolve herself of the shame and weight of the problems, which led to her getting mauled by the crab abnormality, which robbed her of her body weight. Oshino advises them to return for the rite at midnight.
Koyomi and Hitagi eventually return to the cramming school. As soon as they spot Oshino, who has already prepared the ceremony, it begins. The crab emerges and assaults Hitagi, but she knows that to defeat it, she must carry the burden of her family’s sins. She returns to her usual weight, thanks Koyomi, and makes friends with him.

School teacher Nozomu Itoshiki is so cynical that even minor setbacks can send him plummeting into a pit of sorrow. Nozomu’s distinct brand of melancholy has its way of affecting people, frequently in a beneficial way, despite being surrounded by progressively deranged students.
The conversation and the visual aesthetic of Bakemonogatari are its two defining features. The same characteristics that make Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei unique also apply to him. The artwork in both productions closely reflects the show’s mood, while the conversation is often deep and melancholy.
1. Fukigen Na Mononokean
Ashiya expended his initial week of school in the hospital as a result of being “yokai”-possessed. Ashiya goes to the “Mononokean” tea house for assistance since the “yokai” keeps stealing his energy. Ashiya encounters Abeno, the sour proprietor of “Mononokean,” who leads ghosts back to the depths where they belong.
Ashiya’s hopes of attending a typical high school are dashed when he is hired as a part-time employee at the Mononokean in exchange for Abeno’s assistance. They continue to assist spirits and those who have engaged with them as humans.
Fukigen na Mononokean is a good example of Bakemonogatari’s folklore, and spiritual elements, much like Noragami is. This is the anime you should watch if you want to witness many various types of “youkai” and how they interact with humans.
It undoubtedly has a slice-of-life feel, but Bakemonogatari-like dynamics exist between the two leads. You include one tsundere character and one sincere, only-wanting-to-help character. This program will make you feel pleasant while maintaining Bakemonogatari’s supernatural undertones.
