The Secret Romantic Guesthouse goes by different titles, which include “The Love Story of Flower Scholars,” “Flower Scholars’ Love Story,” “Kkotseonbi Yeolaesa,” and “Kkochseonbiyeolaesa.” The series is a historical South Korean series, which is infused with elements of mystery, romance, and a generous amount of drama.
The Secret Romance Guesthouse revolves around a sprightly young woman, Yoon Dan Oh. When three attractive scholars arrive and stay in her guesthouse, Ihwawon Inn, her life becomes unexpectedly complex due to developing romantic feelings among the four members of the house.
The series also follows a scenario that occurs when a group of men comes together with the owners of a guesthouse, to track down Lee Seol, who went missing thirteen years ago. While solving the mystery behind Lee Seol’s disappearance, many political mysteries come to light as well.

The first episode of The Secret Romantic Guesthouse introduces Yoon Dan Oh, who belongs to a well-off family, and being the youngest child of the wealthy family, she was adored by all its members. But as years went by, her family stopped adoring and pampering Yoon Dan Oh.
Presently, Yoon Dan Oh is the primary provider of her family. Her family runs on her income. She manages a guesthouse, Ihwawon Inn. She is ready to go to any extent to bring guests to her guesthouse. She reaches out to people on the street with an advertising banner of her guesthouse, to grab people’s attention.
In the process, Yoon Dan Oh has to face quite a lot of humiliation and misbehavior from the common people. Many even accuse her of being a fraud. But she does not mind any of the words and continues her work with full determination.
Later, Ihwawon Inn is visited by three men separately – Kang San, Kim Si Yeol, and Jeong Yoo Ha. All three men come from different family backgrounds and have very different personalities. The common point among the three is that all of them are students who are preparing for the civil service entrance test with the goal of becoming high officials.
