Prior to their upcoming championship match at the Crown Jewel PPV on November 5, Roman Reigns and Logan Paul will square off in this week’s SmackDown season premiere. When Paul held a press conference in Vegas on September 17, he stunned the entire world. Reigns eventually agreed to face him in the squared circle after being continuously baited and challenged in front of the cameras. What will happen when the two face each other again?
GUNTHER, the current Intercontinental Champion, will face Sheamus and defend his championship. Since their well-received IC title match at the Clash at the Castle PPV on September 3, fans have been begging for the two to face off once more. Sheamus may have come up short back then, but he hasn’t given up on getting revenge on the leader of the Imperium. Will he be successful tonight?
Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline will compete against Ricochet, “The One and Only.” Previously, Sikoa assaulted Ricochet and Madcap in a backstage brawl after the two guys yelled at Sami Zayn and disrespected Roman on the September 23 episode of the show. The four men then engaged in a tag match in which Sikoa and Zayn ultimately won and afterward attacked Moss. Will Ricochet succeed in taking revenge on his friend?

According to HHH, there will come a time when you think everything is over, but that is merely the point at which things start. HHH welcomes viewers to the “SmackDown” season premiere.
Roman Reigns And Logan Paul Come Face To Face
The Bloodline enters the ring as Roman Reigns’ music begins to play. Then, we move on to a clip from last month’s press conference with Roman Reigns and Logan Paul. Reigns receive a microphone from Paul Heyman and instruct Worcester to acknowledge him. When Logan Paul’s music starts, he walks to the ring and takes a position on the apron. Reigns said that SmackDown is his show and that he is aware that there are many of them. He says that the ring is safe and that Paul is his guest. He offers Paul the chance to enter the ring.
“Logan sucks”, the crowd chants as Paul enters the ring. Before giving the microphone to Heyman, Reigns claims that The Bloodline can educate him a lot. Heyman claims that in his position as The Tribal Chief’s special counsel, he serves as a wise man and offers wisdom to others. Heyman claims that Reigns recently questioned him about who the hell Paul thought he was before saying that he is the current generation’s answer to Mr. T and Cyndi Lauper. He believes that by using him as an outside star to draw in more people to the business, Reigns will eventually gain recognition from those people.
He then mentions a number of famous people that The Bloodline planned to invite in order to increase viewership but says that none of them would have the courage to challenge Reigns. After defeating Reigns at Crown Jewel, he predicts that he will spend the next three months in a hospital bed, where he will have enough of stuff to create. Paul, according to him, won’t be making a prediction but rather a spoiler. Paul claims that he cannot debate Heyman. Logan says he just has one question: Does he mean Roman or Jey Uso when he says the Tribal Chief will smash him?
Reigns then look Jey in the eye. Sami Zayn joins and begs them to relax. Reigns’ status as the tribal chief is undisputed, Sami says, and Jey did nothing wrong. He refers to Logan as a fraud and a fake before warning him that he will suffer the worst beating of his life. Sami calls Logan “A two”. According to him, The Bloodline will be more powerful than ever, and he will be a scar on Reigns’ show.
Solo Sikoa vs. Ricochet
Then we see Solo Sikoa waiting in the ring when Ricochet returns from the break. Ricochet receives a splash from Sikoa. When the bell rings, Ricochet gives Sikoa multiple right hands. In response, Sikoa delivers a right hand of his very own that causes Ricochet to fall to the ground and exit the ring. Sikoa is thrown back into the ring after Ricochet executes a tope suicida. He performs a moonsault before attempting to pin Sikoa, but he kicks out. After knocking Sikoa out of the ring with a dropkick, Ricochet does his signature pose. Sikoa receives several rights to the head from Ricochet, then is kicked.
Sikoa tries to grab a chair and appears to hold it before the referee keeps telling him to drop it. In response, he sends Ricochet’s head over the top rope. He strikes Ricochet with a headbutt before whipping him into a corner. Then, after throwing Ricochet onto the apron, he delivers a powerful right hand. Ricochet puts Sikoa down after the break. Following a hurricanrana into the corner, Ricochet quickly throws numerous right hands. He delivers a running knee, a superkick, then a spin kick after that. When Ricochet reaches the top, he attempts to moonsault, but Sikoa catches him and does Spinning Solo to take the victory.
The Bloodline is watching as we go backstage. Zayn claims that he feels as though he has taken Sikoa under his ring, but Jey becomes furious and says that he has been by his brother’s side from the start. He instructs Zayn to refer to him as a hothead one more time before stopping himself. Reigns claim that he no longer wants this to be his problem, thus Zayn is now responsible for solving it.
Then, as they are having a conversation, we move to Hit Row, and them going somewhere. After the break, Zayn is telling sorry to The Usos. They pass by The New Day before trying to make fun of The Usos for needing Zayn as their boss. They are told by Zayn to select a partner and face them in the ring. Jey turns and leaves in anger.

We then see Hit Row heading down the ring. Unexpectedly, Ashante “Thee” Adonis and Top Dolla are attacked by three men in masks. Then Zelina Vega makes an appearance and hurricanranas B-Fab to the ground. Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, and Santos Escobar are revealed when the men remove their masks. Vega says to be back and that she came with others. Escobar then declares that “SmackDown” is theirs before introducing the group. We then receive a white rabbit clip in a video game look, with tomorrow’s date showing up at the end.

After the break, we return to the Viking Raiders’ video, which they claim to have been watching. A woman’s voice then says, “Valhalla awaits.”

The Usos and Sami Zayn return to the ringside, then New Day and their unidentified ally Braun Strowman! Woods and Zayn open the action. As soon as the bell rings, Zayn makes a shoulder tackle. Trying to invade Kingston follows up with a crossbody. Jey is brought in by Zayn, who calls him out for it. This gives Kingston the opportunity to drop kick Jey and knock him to the ground. He uses a tope suicida to crush him.
When Jey returns from the break, he stomps Kingston repeatedly. Jimmy is called upon and delivers a hand to Kingston’s face. Jimmy crushes Kingston’s hands before tagging in Zayn. Before Jey taps his shoulder to join in, Zayn hits a clothesline. Jey performs a side slam and attempts to pin Kingston, but Kingston kicks out. Jimmy returns the tag and delivers a right hand. Zayn joins the fight and hits with his own right hand. He welcomes Jey, who delivers a kick to Kingston’s midsection.
After pushing Kingston into a corner, Jey tags Jimmy in. Jey and Zayn argue in the open. As a result, Kingston is able to make the hot tag to Stroman, who responds by landing multiple shoulder tackles, a powerful boot, and two splashes. Kingston is tagged back in after Strowman executes a chokeslam. Before Strowman sends Zayn and Jey over to the commentator’s desk, they argue outside. Kingston serves up a backbreaker before Woods serves up the double stomp off the top rope for the win.
We go backstage, where Max Dupri is using a chair to strike Ma.çé and Mn.sôör. He tells Maxxine to stop referring to him as Max and declares that he is done with them. He then throws a powerbomb after it and attempts to pin Sheamus, but Sheamus breaks the pin. GUNTHER attacks Sheamus in the back with a splash off the top rope after delivering a knee to the neck. He attempts to pin Sheamus, but Sheamus kicks him out. When Sheamus attempts the Brogue Kick, GUNTHER stops it. Sheamus performs an Irish Backbreaker before locking in the Clover Leaf. Gunther looks to be tapping out, but the referee rules that he didn’t, and Gunther manages to reach the bottom rope despite this.
