A new Belgian crime thriller is set for release on April 21st, 2023. Directed by Rotem Shamir, the show Rough Diamonds is literally about a family involved in the business of Diamonds and explores the conflicts that arise within this family.
The show is based in Antwerp, Belgium, and follows the lives of the Wolfson family members and the lengths they will go to in order to keep up their reputation. Noah is one such member of the family who leaves both the family and the family business to try to build his own life in London, but when an unexpected death forces him to fly back to his hometown, he has a change of heart and wishes to stay back and join his family business.
One thing that people will appreciate about the show is the fact that it has actual Jewish actors playing the role of a Jewish family and that the series has depicted the Jewish community in a proper and respectful manner. The show has a family with each member hiding a secret and holding some grudges, and this, when combined with the Diamond industry aspect of the show, it makes it so much more intriguing.
The show has Casper Knopf as Tommy McCabe and Kevin Janssens as Noah Wolfson. Mary Vinck as Gila Wolfson and Soroush Helali as Bujar. With this show, we will get to see the downfall of an influential organization as the family tries to hang on by grabbing onto loose threads. The show promises crime and thriller that will be dark and cruel.
Rough Diamonds: The Plot
The show, Rough Diamonds, involves an extremely orthodox and strict Jewish family who also happens to be involved in the Diamond industry in Antwerp, Belgium. Noah, one of the members of the family, decides to leave Antwerp and settle in London in order to get away from the strict and rigid terms of his Jewish family and community.
But a sudden death in the family which leaves the family business ungoverned and bankrupt, causes Noah to come back and become a part of the business and help keep it going just like before. Though this is easier said than done, as family drama and secrets unfold, conflicts arise, and people get hurt. The show has equal and perfect amounts of melodrama, romance, and thrill that will keep you engaged and shocked.
