Mercenary Enrollment: Chapter 128 Recap
In the previous chapter, Ijin accompanies Sophia and her brother along with a team of bodyguards as they sightsee Korea. Sophia is obviously flustered around Ijin, but he keeps missing her cues. Sophia even shares cotton candy with Ijin, but he is completely oblivious to what’s going on. At the headquarters, Yuna tells Ijin that President Boray personally thanked Ijin for his service.
Ijin, who is completely oblivious about his role in making the day successful, praises the preparations done by Boray’s security team and guide. Yuna tells him that although she found it suspicious to receive a call personally from President, it is undeniable that Sophia was much more relaxed than she is normally. After the trauma Sophia endured from kidnapping, her constant state of anxiety is nearly never elevated, except today, when she had fun for a change.
The next day, Sophia’s brother pulls Ijin aside and asks him to be more friendly to Sophia today. He also tells him that after Sophia was kidnapped, she refused to become friends with anyone and seemed to want to remain isolated. Therefore her interest in Ijin is very special, and he needs to be a little less professional and loosen up for Sophia.
As Sophia, her brother, Ijin, and the security team travel together in cars, Sophia asks Ijin about his family. He tells her about his little sister and his grandmother. Suddenly, a suspicious vehicle forcefully stops everyone’s car. In another car, one of the bodyguards pulls out a gun and shoots everyone in the car.
