Under the Oak Tree: Chapter 73 Recap

In the previous chapter of Under the Oak Tree, Riftan looks after Maxi, who feels extremely cold and sick throughout the night, trying his best to warm her up. Maxi had exhausted her mana trying to heal the injured people, and she was suffering from the backlash from it.

The next morning, Maxi wakes up to find Riftan with her, who looks extremely angry. He asks Maxi about the reason why she put herself in so much danger and asks her not to help him ever again. Maxi is a little scared since Riftan is so upset, and Riftan just tells Maxi not to leave the bed chamber today.

Riftan storms off after the argument, and Ludis comes in to help Maxi get dressed for the day. As she is resting, an unexpected visitor comes to see Maxi, and she welcomes Princess Agnes as warmly as possible. Agnes apologizes to Maxi, saying that everything was her fault, and Maxi is confused about what she was talking about.
