Ashita no Joe is an action drama series known as Tomorrow’s Joe. We will reveal the finale of this series that was explained as soon as it ended. Ashita no Joe was written by Asao Takamori and illustrated by Tetsuya Chiba. Before it received its anime adaptation, it was first published by Kodansha in Weekly Shonen Magazine and had more than 20 tankobon volumes. It is one of the few series adapted into various media with Megalo Box Anime. This is the story of a young male named Joe Yabuki following his boxing career as a Bantamweight. Yabuki Joe thought that his life was over after a certain tragic incident.
Joe decided to forget about his past after leaving the boxing gym and started to live as a wanderer. However, during Joe’s journey, he encounters Wolf Kanagushi and Goromaki Gondo, men who are his diehard fan. The duo convinces Joe to continue with what he has been doing in the past and tells him to forget about his wanderings. Joe realizes he has a good future and returns to his hometown while continuing to work as a boxer. But he and his trainer are unaware that he is suffering from mysterious issues that will prevent him from fighting. Routinely they learned about the world-renowned boxer Carlos River who arrived to help Joe recover.
Ashita no Joe Ending Explained: Finale
Joe’s life continues after he has been through countless boxing fights. He won lots of them. However, he met with another boxer named Rikishi, three weight classes above him. Rikishi begins cutting weight using a taxing weight loss program. This helped him be in Joe’s weight class, and they organized a boxing event. The day of the boxing event arrives, and Rikishi survived until round 8 using the well-known technique called hit and not get hit. He landed a heavy punch that knocked out Joe in round 8, and this shocked the world, but this was one of the best boxing fights.
Unfountunaly, Rikishi meets his end since he cuts too much weight and receives brutal punches during his fight with Joe. Joe is affected by Rikishi’s death and begins to think that he is the one who killed him. This also affected Joe’s next matches, where his trainer Danpei noticed that Joe was failing to land clean headshots on his opponents. This took Joe time, but he managed to get over it after realizing that Rikiishi died due to his carelessness. But Joe lost three fights in a row, motivating him to never want to lose.
Joe’s next match was announced, and he fought with the world’s #6-ranked fighter, Carlos Rivera. Carlos and Joe had an intense battle where the fans thought that it would end in any round, but Joe won six rounds, and Carlos won six rounds which made the fight end in a draw. His fight with Carlos made Joe famous and earned respect around the world. Conversely, Carlos vs. the World Champion Jose Mendoza was announced. Meanwhile, Joe begins to conquer all the boxers on his path and climb high ranks.

But he realizes that he has struggled to make bantamweight since growing up and decides to use Rikishi’s training methods. Joe vs. OPBF Champion Kim Yong-bi begins, making it look easy, and Joe dedicates his win to Rikishi. Joe defends the OPBF title against Malaysian fighter Harimau. His victory earned him a title fight with World Champion Jose Mendoza, who Ko Carlos Rivera in the first round. Jose had ended Carlos’s career, and the news reporters revealed that Carlos suffered from brain illness since he suffered a brutal ko during his fight with Jose.
Joe vs. Jose Mendez was sold fight, and many of Joe’s friends attended this fight. Joe’s rivals also attend this fight, cheering Joe to break Jose’s winning streak and become a world champion. The match begins, and Joe has the upper hand after managing to ko Jose more than once. Jose backed up his words and began to land powerful punches that shook Joe, who kept his composure and refused to go down. This made Jose angry, and he decided to finish Joe.
Jose wonders how much damage Joe could take since he has never faced an opponent who gave him such a hard fight as Joe. This match reached round fifteen, and Jose won the fight by points. The fans were pleased by this after realizing that Joe was robbed since he knocked out the champion many times and had won more rounds than Jose. Joe was also surprised, and Danpei consoled Joe, who did not say anything about the results, and he smiled.
Will There Be Another Season of Ashita no Joe?
Ashita no Joe has revealed seasons 1 and 2 to the fans, but another return for this series is yet to be announced. However, Joe’s career is far from ending since there is a possible return for this series that would explain how Joe’s career ended since it was rumored that Joe would meet his end like other boxers who took it too far.
