Yukari is out shopping for valentine’s day along with her best friends Sanae and Mina. Yukari returns home with her friends and makes chocolates for them. Sanae and Mina eat up a lot of chocolates in the name of “taste testing.” It is mentioned that even though it isn’t obligatory to make chocolates on Valentine’s day, it’s still a great thing to do.
Yukari prepares a special chocolate, and Mina asks if she can taste it. Yukari gets infuriated and aggressively refuses as she’s making that chocolate for someone special. Specifically a boy from the class next to her classroom. Sanae and Mina still insist on tasting the chocolate, but Yukari refuses.
The next day Sanae distributes chocolates to everyone in her class while Yukari sits separately while tightly holding on to her pouch of chocolates, which she plans to give her crush. She makes up fake scenarios to see how it will turn out, but she’s interrupted by Sanae, who asks her when she will finally give those chocolates.
Yukari says that she’s waiting for the right moment. Sanae and Mina take the responsibility of asking everyone in school and come up with an effective way for Yukari to give those chocolates. They ask Takao and many other students about their ways of gifting chocolates.
Sanae and Mina return soon and come up with a very weird plan. They tell Yukari, “You’ll write him a letter to call him behind the school and put the chocolate in his shoe cupboard dramatically while you make him ask for it.” Sanae literally combined all the ideas she gathered and formed a new idea that didn’t even make sense.
Yukari refuses to accept the plan and decides to give the chocolates at the school entrance. After school ends, Yukari waits at the school entrance but fails to muster up the courage to actually give the chocolate. She returns to her classroom as a failure.
Sanae asks Yukari if she could eat the chocolates as she isn’t going to give them now. Yukari agrees, and Mina tells her to pretend as if she made the chocolates for them only so she wouldn’t feel sad. Yukari smiles and takes one chocolate herself.
