Whitebeard died in One Piece Episode 485, titled: “Settling the Score – Whitebeard vs. The Blackbeard Pirates.” This was one of the greatest episodes of the One Piece series, even though a few members of the Whitebeard crew were manipulated. Whitebeard arrives with his pirate crew during Ace’s execution. Whitebeard couldn’t let one of his sons die even though Ace had accepted death. Whitebeard knew he was still recovering, but he risked his life to save his son. This happened in the Marine fold, and Whitebeard was ready to face anything that could happen. Blackbeard and his pirate crew learn about Ace’s execution and arrive in Marineford.

He realizes that he has to settle scores with Blackbeard to avenge his sons Ace and Thatch. Whitebeard vs. Blackbeard begins, and Blackbeard’s powers to cancel  Devil Fruit’s abilities have no match against Whitebeard. Whitebeard also suffered serious injuries and managed to pin Blackbeard to the ground after grabbing him by the throat.

Whitebeard almost kills Blackbeard using his Devil Fruit. However, Teach survives all might blow, and his crew realizes that they must provide backup and begins to stab Whitebeard from the back using g blades and pistols. When Whitebeard is about to die, he recalls his battle with Roger and his journey as a pirate to build a family. However, Whitebeard died standing while holding his weapon, and he didn’t fall to the ground, which proves that he was a stronger warrior who died while standing. Whitebeard believes that someone will carry Roger.

Who Killed Whitebeard? 

Blackbeard Pirate Crew killed Whitebeard, but they only landed finishing blows since Akainu manipulated Whitebeard’s death to make Whitebeard weak, knowing that no one could kill Whitebeard when he was healthy. However, Whitebeard brought this to himself after letting one of his sons stab him. His idea th also happened because he knew that he had played his role and the new era was about to begin, so he decided to protect the beginning of a new era. Blackbeard can claim that he killed Whitebeard since they are the ones who attacked Whitebeard on the brink of death.

What Happened To Whitebeard’s Devil Fruit After His Death?

Whitebeard’s Devil Fruit was taken by Blackbeard, who knew that Whitebeard would be covered, and taking the Devil Fruit would make him a great pirate. After Whitebeard’s death, Teech realizes that he got what he wanted and decides to leave with his crew, and no one stops him from taking Whitebeard’s Devil Fruit.
