What is Rocky IV Movie About?
Rocky IV movie definitely revolves around the fight, including the protagonist, Rocky. In 1985, a Russian boxer, Ivan Drago, who was just 24, arrived the States. He had his wife, Ludmilla, and his team of trainers with him. His team had a manager for him who used to show off Drago’s athleticism as the product of Russia.
Apollo wasn’t happy with all this as he was once a professional boxer before getting retired, so he challenged Drago. Rocky, who is a professional boxer, agrees to train Apollo. The match started, and Apollo appeared relaxed. But once Ivan started punching, it was horrible for Apollo. Rocky pleaded to stop the match, but Apollo denied it and asked to let it be. The fight continued, and none of Apollo’s punches were effective enough to knock Ivan down. At the end of the match, Ivan’s behavior is cold; he punches Apollo to death.
With such a bad experience, Rocky challenged Ivan to an unsanctioned 15-round fight in the Soviet Union on Christmas Eve. Rocky had to travel to the Soviet Union, but his wife refused to accompany him as she was not happy with this challenge. Rocky didn’t mind, as he was way too serious for the challenge. He set up his training camp along with his fellas, Duke and Paulie.
He worked really hard on himself, used farm equipment for training, and did roadwork in snow mountains and tough terrains. Basically, Rocky was using all the natural and tough methods. His wife was worried about him, but she met him while he was preparing for the challenge. On the other hand, Drago used different high-tech equipment, and his team and doctors were monitoring his training and the intake of steroids.
The match begins; Drago starts with a very aggressive nature same as he did with Apollo. Rocky smartly takes a fierce ponding, but later at the end of the second round, he gives a brutal blow over Ivan’s left eye leaving everyone stunned. Ivan’s trainers are trying to motivate him, saying that he is just a weak American, but Ivan replies by saying that Rocky is a piece of Iron.
After all the matches, both the fighters are exhausted, but in the end, Rocky defeats Ivan Drago and takes revenge for his friend Apollo’s death. Rocky gives a victory speech and addresses his son, who is watching the match live on TV. Rocky wishes him a Merry Christmas.

Did Ivan Drago Cheat Against Apollo?
The match ended tragically for Apollo, and Drago won easily without much effort. Neither Ivan Drago cheated, nor Apollo cheated, and the fight appeared too realistic. On the other hand, Ivan was way too serious for the fight, but when the fight started, he understood Apollo’s mistake of not taking the fight seriously.
