Before Jay met Kaneshiro, he had no idea who Kazuma was and what kind of importance he held in Mahon’s life. Kazuma was Mahon’s precious friend who died trying to protect Mahon’s dream. After Jo died, Jay inherited his uncle’s cycle and although he pretended he had no interest in professional cycling, Jay wanted to follow his uncle.
Once Jay started competing in the League of Streets, he started finding more information about his uncle’s death and the conspiracy that surrounded the competition. The previous chapter was very emotional and Jay seems to have finally found the truth he was looking for. Jay was ready to take on the dream his uncle left behind.
Jay wants to do justice to both Kazuma and Jo’s death. Both of them died while trying to achieve something great. Even the old man finally felt at peace after coming to terms with Jo’s death, and he even gave Mahon a final farewell in the end.

Wind Breaker: Chapter 459 Recap
In the previous chapter of Wind Breaker, we see Mahon Jo come back to Korea, and he was crying bitterly at the airport when Heri went to pick him up. Heri was concerned after seeing Jo in such a state, but Jo was just broken that he couldn’t protect anyone. Kazuma’s death left a very deep hole in Mahon Jo’s heart.
As the flashback ends, we see Kaneshiro and Jay sitting side by side, and Kaneshiro tells Jay that she is aware Jo was not responsible for Kazuma’s death. She goes on to say that even though they both had the same dream, they were also at odds with each other since they had different objectives.
The Kazuma Crew and League of Street were made because they both loved cycling so much, but they were not able to protect their precious dream. Kaneshiro says that things would not have turned out this way and Kazuma would be alive if she was not born, but its the end now, so she just hopes they both are resting peacefully after death.
Later, Jay meets the old man, and Jay says that he learned a lot of new things the night before. Jay goes on to say that he finally learned about Kazuma and why there were so many incidents around the League of Streets.
Jay looked determined when he said that he would go back to Korea and win back the dream that Jo and Kazuma had lost. We see a flashback from the old man’s perspective, who left the organization after Kazuma’s death and started working on his family business. Jo came to visit Kazuma after a few years, and he paid respect to his dead friend.
Jo asks the old man about the bike he was going to gift Kazuma if he won the Grand Prix and asks the old man to give it to him instead. The old man forged the bike, and Jo was determined to stand at the top of the world for Kazuma now.
