Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist Season 2 is the Sequel to Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist. Starring actors like Kim Min-Jae, Kim Hyang-Gi, and Kim Sng-Kyung, this lovely sequel to the historical K-drama was a delight for all the fans.
With its first episode airing on January 11, 2023, the story revolves around Yoo Se-Poong ( Kim Min-Jae), our main character who was a royal physician. Due to some conspiracy and escalation of a series of events, was outcasted by the royal family. From being one of the best acupuncturist known at the time to now living in exile, away from the people he served for years.
Synopsis
Poong arrived in the small village of Gyesu after being cast away by the royal family. This village bought with it new friends as well as challenges for our protagonist. In this place, he met Seo Eun-Woo (Kim Hyang-Gi) and Gye Yi-Han (Kim Sang-Kyung), who both helped him change for the better. With the help of both Eun-Woo and Yi-Han, Poong finally began to grow not just as a human, but as a doctor too.
His incident with the royal family had left him scared and afraid to continue work as a doctor, but in the little village of Gyesu, Poong found a new sense of hope. Using Unconventional methods to treat his patients, Poong uncovers a deeper new understanding of the mind and body.
Romance buzzes between Poong and Eun-Woo as the show progresses. What will become of the two? Will Poong be able to completely recover from his trauma and build a new life for himself in Gyesu?

Recap of Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist Season 2 Episode 8 (Spoilers!)
Episode 8 of Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist Season 2 begins with Eun-Woo leaving for Heuksan Island, deciding to become a physician as she avoids Poong. She takes off the ring Poong had given her, justifying her actions by saying it would be better for Poong if she never had it on.
On knowing Eun-Woo had run away, Poong ran after Eun Woo to bring her back. Shocked and hurt by her sudden leave, Poong could not bear his lover being away from him. He soon reaches the island and tries to convince Eun Woo to come back so they can solve the issues together.
They’re interrupted mid-convo when a servant rushes to tell them about a patient. The patient was a courtesan named Seol-Ah who was Interpreter Jung’s concubine. There was a mishap surrounding the relationship between the Interpreter’s Wife and the concubine when they faced each other, as the former wished death upon the latter.
The concubine was in despair as she told the wife how wrong it was to hide her true self. By the end, it was revealed that the Interpreter’s wife and Seol-Ah were in love, they could no longer deny the truth. The story of this patient helps Poong and Eun-Woo open up to each other.
After a heartwarming conversation between the two regarding their thoughts and emotions, they told their honest feelings to each other out loud and reconciled.
