You Are My Desire Chapter 17 will be the latest installment in the Comedy Drama Manhwa. The story follows the life of a teenage girl, Lin Yu-Jin, whose life is turned upside down by her parent’s divorce.
Her mother outright told her that she didn’t want her and that her father should take care of her instead. Her father was not thrilled with taking care of her either. But had no choice but to agree. Her father was quick to move on and moved in with Guan Xianmie, his new wife, and her son Fu Ming-Xiu.
After moving into her new home, she went for a walk to clear her head. There, she saw a Tattoo parlor and walked in. It was there she met Shen Wan. She wanted to get a tattoo; however, after learning that the process hurts, she decided against it.
She meets Shen once again outside a convenience store, and it is there she finds out that he is a “Delinquent” but different. He was about to fight another gang but wanted to be quick as he had homework left to finish. Yu-Jin found that extremely peculiar.
Yu-Jin runs into him yet again on her first day of school. Turns out he is in the same class, and they share a desk. She quickly gathers that everyone is very afraid of Shen. However, he doesn’t seem as horrible to her.
After some digging, she found out that Shen beat up his former deskmate within an inch of his life and then stopped showing up to school. He didn’t show up for one whole year and then came back like nothing had happened; however, he was forced to repeat a grade; hence, they shared a classroom.
From one of her classmates, she heard that the school offered dormitory services. However, to get in, one needs permission from a parent. She calls her dad to ask for permission but to no avail. He takes it personally that her daughter does not want to stay with him, his new wife.
Yu-Jin asked Shen to forge her father’s signature for her, which he does. Later that day, she receives a call from her mother. The first time she called after the divorce. It was to tell Yu-Jin that she still loves her but does not have time for her.

After her phone call with her mother, she went out for a walk and ended up near the tattoo parlor. Some of Shen’s friends recognized her and invited her to have a hotpot with them. One of Shen’s friends tried to offer her beer, but Shen asked her to drink Cola instead.
After this, his friends all left to buy more alcohol, leaving Yu-Jin and Shen alone. Yu-Jin asks Shen if the tattoo parlor belongs to him, and he tells her that the shop originally belonged to his uncle, but technically, it’s his.
Yu-Jin seems to think that underneath his mysterious delinquent, he is just a lonely guy struggling to keep his uncle’s shop afloat. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Since it was chilly outside, Shen and Yu-Jin went inside.
Shen gives her his blanket to cover herself. She lies down for a bit and notices that there are paintings on the roof. She wondered who drew them as she quietly drifted off to sleep. Shen returns to the room with what we can assume to be hot tea, only to see her asleep.

Looks like Yu-Jin might be spending the night at Shen’s place. We know for sure that she will regret this in the morning. Furthermore, Ming-Xiu told Yu-Jin that he would drop her off at school on Monday. We already know that he doesn’t like her all that much.
But since he had some business at school, he was willing to drop her. If he found out that she spent the night outside, he would surely throw a fit. I am sure Yu-Jin would be able to handle him eloquently, so there is nothing to worry about whatsoever.
