Jeyran: Premise
The narrative of the Iranian series, Jeyran, revolves around Jeyran and her relationships with Naser al-Din Shah Qajar and Siavash. The series, set in the 19th century, shows the story of how the king of Persia, Naser al-Din Shah Qajar falls in love with Jeyran, but Jeyran is in love with another man, Siavash. The series entails the relationships followed by other circumstances.
Shortly after the death of the prime minister of the Iranian King of the Qajar Dynasty, Amir Kabir, the king, Naser al-Din Shah Qajar, is seen to be in despair. This state of the king concerns the mother queen as he does not seem to have any interest in the important matters of the realm. As a result, one day, to escape the rules and formalities of the palace, the king goes hunting with his bodyguard, Salman, outside the city.
On the hunt, the king crosses paths with Khadijeh Khanom Tajrishi, who is an attractive woman with beautiful eyes. She does not recognize the king as he is in disguise. So, she does not give attention to him.
The king names her ‘Jeyran’ as she has beautiful eyes. He falls in love with her at first sight. Later, the king orders his men to bring her to the palace. In the meantime, Jeyran is already in a relationship with Siavash. The narrative gets intriguing as well as complicated when Jeyran arrives at the palace. With her rivals and the mother queen, who does not think Jeyran’s ordinary upbringing makes her the ideal choice for the King, Jeyran faces a lot of obstacles, which she needs to overcome.

In recent episodes, we have seen that the governor reveals how he selects the heir to the throne. On the other hand, the king was furious because the appearance of Khadijeh Chahrighi and her daughter, Abbas Mirza, caused a disturbance at the princess’s wedding.
Following that, we see the military siege of Bushehr during the “War of Herat.” The Shah gives Mirza Agha Khan instructions to help the nation during this turbulent period.
Thereafter, Jiran and Glin were seen on the opposing side after the conflict attempting to remove Mirza Aga Khan as the ruler. To hold a card of leverage over the Shah, Mirza Aga Khan also desired to give him the head of Prince Zand.
