Akira is a man in his thirties who decides to take over his grandfather’s Coin Laundry shop. The high schooler Shintaro meets him, and the two become friends and soon turn into lovers.
This season is about the progression of their love story and the misunderstandings that tag along. Asuka, Shintaro’s classmate, also develops a thing for Satsuma Shu. How will things unfold for the two couples?

The episode begins with Minato Akira sitting alone and thinking about how Shintaro can tell Dr. Kirihara everything but not him. He gets texts from Shintaro asking where he is and why he did not come back yet, but he does not reply.
He arrives home late, and Shintaro is worried for him. When he questions Akira about his sudden long absence, Akira shuns the question. When Shintaro keeps asking him, he finally murmurs that Shintaro can tell everything to the doctor but not him.
Shintaro asks him if he is jealous of Kirihara, but he denies it. He also warns Shintaro not to enter his side of the house. As they continue to argue, Asuka keeps knocking, and when Akira goes out, he hugs him, which makes Shintaro conscious, and he separates the two.
Asuka tells him that Shu might break up with him, so he wants to stay over. When Asuka is studying late at night, Shintaro joins him and helps him with the problems. Both dose off to sleep on the study table.
In the morning, Akira treats them with good food. They also try their luck at the lucky draw, thinking of winning a trip, and rather Akira wins a watermelon. They decide to play a game with it blindfolded and have a good time.
Asuka leaves because he does not want to be the third wheel in their relationship. Akira leaves to clean the shop while Shintaro heads home upset. The doctor visits Akira to let him know how Shintaro feels about him.
He also discloses the high school secret of how heartbroken Shintaro was after his waist injury, as he lost his only connection to Akira, which was swimming. Now, he has started feeling like a burden to Akira and thinks that the latter might soon leave his side.
This melts Akira’s heart, and he heads home to apologize to Shintaro. Both of them have a heartfelt conversation where Akira mentions his insecurities and wants to be relied on as an adult, while Shintaro feels he wants to become an adult quickly to avoid burdening Akira. The heavy mood is lightened up by Shintaro as he asks Akira to have a bath with him, and he screams out of awkwardness.
