A new episode of Nine’s dating series, Married At First Sight Australia, will be released soon. The second commitment ceremony seemed to be an eye-opener for many couples, and while some have decided to continue the marriage, some have found it better to leave it and go back to being strangers.
The show follows a group of single men and women who audition to be married to someone they haven’t met before. Matchups for these couples are done by relationship experts, who analyze each characteristic to make sure that they match the right people together.
After the weddings, the couples are made to go through themed weeks that make sure that they can get to know more about each other. These include the honeymoon phase, the intimacy week, and many others.
Throughout the test, the couples meet up at commitment ceremonies, a meeting where they are asked by experts if they would like to continue the marriage or leave it. This week featured the second ceremony of the season. Since some of the couples, such as Melissa and Josh, had been going through rough times this week, they decided to split and leave the experiment.
Married At First Sight (AU) Season 10 Episode 14: Recap
The previous episodes of MAFS Australia featured the experts finally cornering Harrison and holding him accountable for what he has been doing while in the marriage. Although he tried to blame taking a girl’s number on Dan, it is later revealed that he was lying to get away with cheating on his wife. Most of the couples were now doing well, including Claire and Jesse.
Dan expresses his anger on Harrison, as he has pushed his problems on him, damaging his trust in Sandy. Bronte trusts Harrison despite the evidence suggesting otherwise. Sandy is frustrated yet feels what Dan’s saying is right. Melissa had criticized Josh for his lack of intimacy, making the couple distant and cold.
The second commitment ceremony begins, and the experts meet up with all the couples. Experts start asking all kinds of important questions that could determine the future of these marriages. They target those who were in the spotlight at the dinner party.
The first couple to be called is Jesse and Claire. Jesse admits that he has now developed romantic feelings for Claire, while she feels there is much more growth needed for them to be intimate. They decide to stay together, as both say they want to stay together.
The next couple is Bronte and Harrison, where Harrison claims he has been feeling good with Bronte ever since she apologized and made amends. Almost all of the other couples give an eye-roll as what he’s saying is the complete opposite of what should have happened.
Experts address the number issue, and Bronte says the issue didn’t bother her. They let him know that he should be more focused on the relationship and not breach the trust. Bronte decides to stay, and the same goes for Harrison.
Dan and Sandy are asked about the dinner party. Dan clears all accusations that were put against him. Sandy claims she does not trust any word coming out of Harrison’s mouth and that he could have lied to take the blame off of himself. Dan and Sandy both decide to Stay together as well.
Tahnee and Ollie, and most of the other couples, decide to stay. Melissa and Josh are called, and the experts notice the distance between them. Melissa says she feels like the alpha in the relationship, which frustrates Josh, who feels Melissa is too controlling of whatever he does. The couple decides to leave.
