In the previous chapter, Youko thought that a woman’s appearance is her life and that modern girls have slender legs. When she sees a young girl in a short skirt, she believes that her legs will freeze because of the cold, but since she is in her thirties, her only motto in life is not to stand out and be happy. She can’t possibly wear a short skirt like those girls. While she was having these thoughts inside her mind, she heard a voice. The voice asks if she can listen to it and addresses her as Bun Bun.
Youko does not think much of it and answers her immediately so she can hear her. The voice asks her to help him, and suddenly she gets blinded by the light. When Youko opens her eyes, the voice tells her that from now on, she is a magical girl. Youko thinks she must be making it up inside her mind, but when she looks at herself in the mirror near a metro restroom. She finds out that she is dressed up in a magical girl outfit.
She thinks it’s happening because of overwork, but nothing changes when she looks at herself again and again. She recalls how she turned out this way and figured out she had turned into a magical girl after answering that mysterious voice. The mysterious voice shows up in front of her.
It turns out the voice is a bunny. It tells Youko to sign a magical girl contract with it. The bunny tells her if she does not sign the contract, she will die while they are discussing the agreement, someone attacks the metro station, and everyone begins to run, so Youko decides to fight the evil man by signing the contract.
