The Sister Filming Locations: Where Was The ITV Series Filmed?

The ones who prefer the Thrilling genre over others should certainly face the series, The Sister. Luther, who is among the makers of the series, said that he wants his audiences to sleep with their lights on after this series. Well, is it so horrific? You can watch it on Hulu if you do not have access to ITV. The series consists of four episodes of 50 minutes each, and it was initially premiered in 2020. Later, it was introduced to the OTT platform in 2021. 

The Sister is an English psychological thriller that revolves around three lead characters, Nathan, Bob, and Holly. Russell, Bertie, and Amrita have been in the lead roles. Nathan, who is a well-meaning but directionless man, finds himself surrounded by his horrendous past again after so many years. The series become highly intense after the first episode. What is The Series, The Sister About?

Russell Tovey, who is the lead character, said in an interview that The Sister is going to challenge him as an actor. He has never had such a challenging role before, and that’s where he gave hints regarding the story as to how thrilling it might be. He further explained to his character, Nathan, that there is a web of lies that Nathan thought was buried forever. But he was wrong, and those lies are back to haunt him even more. As the story continues, Nathan finds himself at the center of his deadly past.

Neil Cross, who is the writer of the novel, Burial, says that Nathan, Holly, and Bob were very close to him for many years, and he was too excited to see them on screen with the help of Russell, Amrita, and Bertie. Luther, another writer, said that his team wants his audience to sleep with their lights on.

That certainly points out that the story is horrific. The Sister has four episodes, and the first episode starts with Nathan, who has been hiding a few dark and horrific secrets and is living a peaceful life. But everything changes when he opens his main door and finds an unwelcome face on the doorstep.

Who Were The Cast Of The Sister

Russell Tovey is a British actor who is well known for his performance in Being Human (BBC) as Warewolf. In The Sister, he plays the role of Nathan Redman. Next is Bertie Carvel, an English Actor. He has been awarded The Laurence Olivier Award twice.

Firstly, he won the best actor in a leading role in Matilda the Musical, and secondly, he won the best actor in a supporting role in Ink movie. In The Sisters, he is in the role of Robert “Bob” Morrow. Amrita Acharia is a Norwegian actress who is best known for her role as Irri in Game of Thrones. She is Holly Fox in the series, The Sister.

Amanda Root used to give her voice for kid’s shows. She is in the cast as June Fox. Paul Bazely is a British actor who has been in various movies and is better known for his role as Troy in Benidorm. In The Sister, he plays Graham Fox. Simone Ashley is a popular British actress who is known for her roles in popular Netflix shows such as Bridgerton and Sex Education. She is playing Elise Fox. Nina Toussaint-White and Ewan Bailey are playing the roles of DCI Jacki Hadley and DCI William Holloway, respectively.

The Sister Filming Location

The maximum part of the series was shot either indoors or in the woods. The crew revealed that the series was filmed around London and they didn’t go anywhere. But, yes, the shooting was tough for them. Rusell said in an interview that while shooting, the toughest part of the series was the forest chase.

They shot for two weeks at night and in the rain. He further exaggerated that the crew would have never had such a hard experience in their whole career. Acharia said she was the luckiest one in the crew because her scenes were indoors. So, she had warm rooms, clothes, and a protective environment to shoot.
