The Plot of the Series
Meet Aijo Rentaro, a guy who just couldn’t get lucky in his dating life. Rejected by a hundred girls, he’s at the end of his rope. When he goes to a shrine to pray for a girlfriend, God tells him a cosmic error caused all those rejections!
To make it up to him, God destines Aijo to one hundred dates, but there’s a twist: if he doesn’t reciprocate their feelings, “they’ll die in horrible accidents.” Cue the downpour of confessions as girls pour their hearts out to Aijo.
The problem? He can’t choose and certainly doesn’t want anyone to die! As lightning strikes with every potential soulmate, Aijo wonders: can one person truly love a hundred others?
The manga is completely out of the box. It’s funny, new and entertaining. A refreshing take on the harem genre, this manga stands out from the crowd in Jump’s lineup, delivering an exciting and hilarious ride that keeps readers eagerly turning the pages.
Female characters are a staple in the harem genre, and The 100 Girlfriends excels in this department. Although it includes the common deredere, tsundere, and kuudere, each girlfriend has her uniqueness within the absurd premise. Some accept the strange situation with a hint of logic, while others struggle to make sense of it all.
The manga even treats readers to spicy moments between the girls, adding an extra layer of fun and excitement for fans of the genre. So far, the manga has delivered a great read, and we’re sure the anime will be successful in making The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You more entertaining than it already is!
