The baseball match between the Seattle Mariners and Kansas City Royals was held on Monday, Aug. 14, 2013. In that match, the pitcher Matt Brash (47) was pitching on strike in the ninth inning of the game. It was the first pitch they threw toward the pitcher Brash, which annoyed Matt Brash that night.
The Royals scored two runs in the ninth inning and got the win against the Mariners, i.e.,7-6; in the beginning, Brash got the leads and jumped ahead in the count of 0-2 against the Kansas best Hitter, Bobby Witt Jr. Dairon Blanco successfully drooped a squeeze bunt which helps pinch-runner Samad Taylor to score, that flipped the Mariners the riveting comeback of the season after loosing one of the matches.
Their player Julio Rodriguez played a delivery twice to help the Mariners delete a defeat in the final two innings, i.e. 5-0. Barsh spoke up about his gameplay and how he got frustrated during the play that he didn’t execute like he had to.

Ninth-Inning Struggle: Mariners Grapple with Shared Challenge
After throwing the three successive sliders from the Brash, Witt, the pitcher, didn’t chase any of them. For the 99-mph fastball which Brash threw, Witt hits it at the middle for the lead-off single on 3-2. He came near to tie up the score later on Salvador Perez’s sacrifice fly.
After the increase in the score, i.e. 3-2, Brash said that he wanted to throw it, but he led a good slider and put a good swing on it, and the ball found a hole. The Mariners were unavailable on Monday’s match because of the heavy workload over the weekend, Andrez Munoz. Because of the strength and depth of their Bullpen, the Mariners had traded Sewald to Arizona in large part.
The growing pain leads by taking the challenges on a shared ninth-inning, where they already asked a lot out of Munoz and Brash. Munoz also helped the Orioles to score high runs during the match against Baltimore on Sunday. Brash blame himself for not doing well in spite of the team fighting to come back, but he said that he’ll begin a new day in the next match and will prove to do it again.
Blanco dropped down the squeeze bunt on the first pitch he saw from Brash. In the top half of the ninth inning, Dylan Moore took over at first base after Ty France was lifted for pinch-runner; because of the midfield, he didn’t field the bunt cleanly and gave the home lead head-first for the winning run by Taylor.
Loss but Learning: Brash Analyzes Challenging Play as Mariners Face Defeat
Brash predicted that it was a challenging play; he said, “They have got a lot of speed and successfully laid a good bunt”. Even though the loss, the Mariners manager will not leave and continue to lean on Brash and Munoz. Back-to-back Mariners lost three matches in a row (63-55) after their eight-game winning streak broke on Saturday. Rodriguez drove three runs with a bases-clearing double in the eighth inning and became the hero of the Monday match for a moment.
He even added the runs so that Mariners should get the lead 6-5 and took an RBI single with two outs in the ninth. That time it was Rodriguez’s first go-head of his career. The most significant moment with his new club was when Josh Rojas drove a line in the tying run up the middle, scoring Teoscar Hernandez from second base. Their Mariners were down to their final strike. From that Mariners acquired Rojas in the trade with Arizona for Sewald.
The manager Servais said that it was a comeback for them, “after such ups and down, our guys didn’t quit and made win the game,” he said. In the seventh inning, Royals right-hander Brady Singer had no hits that helped Kansas City build a 5-0 lead.
The Witt credited the home run in the fifth inning with an inside park; the Royals Shortstop made it around the base by one of the fastest players in MLB in 14.3 sec after Canzone lost a hard-hit line drive. Lastly, the Royals won by leading 5-0 when Mariners rookie Reliever Isaiah Campbell was called on with bases and two out in the sixth innings.
