The Simpsons Season 34 Episode 16 Story

At the beginning of the 22-minute-long sixteenth episode, some strange explosion occurs at school. Thus, Principal Skinner informs the students that the school will reopen after a few weeks. Lisa and Bart want to learn from Homer as they are at home. So, they try to wake him. On the one hand, Marge stops Homer from purchasing unnecessary products on TV.

On the other hand, she makes the kids read a chapter called ‘The Great Endeavor.’ Meanwhile, Milhouse’s father, Kirk, knows that the students are taught about the failed forefathers of Springfield. Homer had brought a lot of items sold by Shaq O’Neal through late-night television advertisements.

First, he bad-mouths Shaq O’Neal but later realizes that he can learn the art of selling unwanted products through television advertisements. It is how Homer came up with the new product called ‘Me-shirt.’ It can display various phrases according to the programming, and the copper fibers can make the wearer look angrier by pushing the blood to the face.

Me-shirt helps reduce the anger of frustrated Americans. Kirk was already disappointed with the school’s syllabus. Thus, he demands a change in the syllabus focusing on the addition of positive areas and the elimination of negative ones. Proud Milhouse and other parents support him. Kirk gets blinded by the tremendous support and burns the history books.

Marge gets disappointed with the act. She goes to meet Kirk personally to explain to him the importance of history. But Kirk neglects her advice. Gazebo collapses during the gathering related to the elimination of bad history. On the other hand, Homer prioritizes Science over History.

Our Review

The Simpsons Season 34 Episode 16 is filled with silliness. Their history consists of failures, Kirk burns the history books, and the Gazebo collapses. These three things are funny. The episode had a few jokes in the beginning but not in the end. This episode did not seem interesting in the latter part. It lacks a good storyline, formula, and humor.

Thus, it makes the audience difficult to keep watching the long-running show ‘The Simpsons.’ You may get disappointed if you try to find a point or logic in this episode. The fourteenth episode had a strong storyline and was occasionally funny. While the fifteenth episode had some crazy moments, and the story went in line with the season.

Thus, the sixteenth episode does not seem to be on track and humorous as compared to the last two episodes. Lisa and Bart trying to wake Homer to get taught by him show how the Simpsons represent a typical American family. It looks like the people staying next door.
