The release date of the Chinese anime series, Throne of Seal Episode 50 has been announced. With the premiere of its 49th episode on April 6, 2023, the anime has reached an important point, which has hooked the viewers to their screens. In the past few years, we have seen that Chinese anime series, or what they call “Donghua,” has gained immense viewership and popularity.
Throne of Seal also comes under this list of popular anime series. Throne of Seal, also known as Shen Yin Wang Zuo, when translated to Chinese, debuted on-screen on April 28, 2022. Due to its immense popularity upon its release, the anime renewed for a second season on November 10, 2022.

Throne of Seal Episode 49 Recap
In the previous episode, episode 48, we witnessed a power pact duel between Yang Wenhao and Haochen, where Haochen defeats Wenhao by using his special powers. The battle was followed by the award ceremony, where Lord Baarden gives the opportunity to Haochen to choose his teammates first for being the winner in the battle. However, to everyone’s surprise, Haochen chooses Master Lin, instead of Cai Er, as his first teammate.
Episode 49 opens with a flashback scene where Haochen is seen to be having a conversation with Lord Baarden, where the Lord asks Haochen whether he wants to choose an extra teammate by giving up all other rewards. He further explains to Haochen that on reaching one of the top three positions, he will earn a rare Ling Gong, with the use of which he can directly reach the sixth realm.
To answer the Lord’s question, Haochen unhesitantly replies that all the awards are meaningless for him; his team is more important. So, the Lord asks him to win the championship first, and then further decisions shall be taken.
Back to the present. Haochen is reminded of his promise to Xin Lin during the award ceremony. Subsequently, he picks Lin as his first teammate, which shocks Lin. Meanwhile, Haochen’s decision saddens Cai Er, and suddenly something weird starts happening with her powers. When Haochen further announces his decision to choose Cai Er as his second teammate, Cai Er’s powers become uncontrollable.
On being unable to control her powers, Cai Er suddenly starts hearing a voice in her subconscious mind. The voice tells her that Haochen has finally left her, although he promised to stay by her side forever and protect her. Hearing these words, Cai Er’s spiritual powers burst out.
On seeing Cai Er’s condition, when Haochen tries to approach her, he gets obstructed by Cai Er’s spiritual power that does not let him go near her. At the same time, elder Zhi Ha Zheng also appears there and stops Haochen. Elder Zhi Ha Zheng explains to Haochen that if he fails to suppress Cai Er’s powers, it will result in the death of Cai Er. This revelation shocks Haochen.
Elder Zhi Ha Zheng tries to suppress Cai Er’s powers by building a spiritual field, but the field breaks as it fails to absorb Cai Er’s spiritual powers. Meanwhile, elder Yuan arrives there. Elder Zhi Ha Zheng reveals to Elder Yuan that Cai Er’s reincarnation power has been activated, which is so powerful that it has, once upon a time, broken the Demon God in three pieces.
Then, elder Zhi Ha Zhing suggests Elder Yuan use the Truth of God Seal to calm Cai Er down. But Elder Yuan says he does not want to risk using the Seal as it protects thousands of people. Elder Zhi Ha Zheng insists on him and tells him that if he does not use the Seal, Cai Er will die and be stuck in hell. In the meantime, Haochen tries to approach Cai Er again, but Elder Zhi Ha Zhing, unable to control his anger, uses dangerous spiritual pressure to stop him.
Elder Zhi Ha Zheng even gets ready to kill Haochen using his magical powers. At that moment, Lin arrives there and tells Zhi Ha Zheng to spare Haochen as everything that has been happening is because of him. Therefore, Lin should be the one who should be punished. But Lin’s words fall on deaf ears. Thereafter, when Elder Zhi Ha Zhing is about to kill Haochen, elder Yuan stops him, and at the same time, Haochen uses his powers to break free.
Elder Yuan, then makes Elder Zhi Ha Zheng understand that there is a possibility that Haochen is the only one who can save Cai Er. Meanwhile, they see Haochen trying to approach Cai Er again, using his powers. But Cai Er does not feel anything.
When Haochen touches Cai Er’s face, she sees her parents. She gets reminded of the promise which her mother made long back that if she successfully takes the reincarnation test, she will bring Cai Er’s favorite doll to her.
On the other side, when Cai Er’s father came to know about Cai Er becoming an inheritance assailant, he did something to Cai Er to stop her from becoming an assailant. Haochen sees and feels all the experiences of Cai Er, which shocks him. By this time, we see, Haochen has reached Cai Er’s subconscious mind.
In the subconscious mind, Haochen sees Cai Er’s doll, which has grown big and is holding Cai Er in its arms. The doll tells Haochen that he has failed to protect her and left her. The doll feels angry and starts attacking Haochen without listening to what Haochen has to say. While attacking, the doll further tells that Cai Er does not need anyone; instead, she only needs the doll.
Unable to dodge its attacks, Haochen uses his spirit sword and pulls a blow on the doll’s head. The blow leaves a cut mark on its head. Suddenly, Haochen loses his sight. Then, the doll declares that as many times he hits it, he would keep losing his senses.
Being in a difficult situation after losing his eyesight, the doll takes the opportunity to torture Haochen. The doll also reveals that Cai Er lost her senses every time she attacked it. Haochen then tells the doll that he does not care about losing his senses; he only cares about Cai Er.
However, Haochen summons his spirit sword and lands multiple blows on the doll. Before bursting out, the doll realizes that Haochen is different from others, but it is not sure whether he will be able to save Cai Er, as Haochen will not be able to use his own body along with his senses anymore.
After the doll bursts apart, Haochen loses control of his body. He still realizes Cai Er drowning deeper in her subconscious mind. Haochen tries to save her but all in vain. This angers Haochen, and he uses all his powers to approach Cai Er’s body again.
In the meantime, Cai Er’s body keeps releasing a lot of spiritual powers as she reminiscences about Haochen’s promises and their childhood. She thinks of killing Haochen in her subconscious mind. At that very moment, Haochen appears in front of her. Cai Er gets furious seeing him and tries to kill him while asking him the reason behind him leaving her. But when Cai Er is about to attack Haochen, a light from Haochen’s ring interrupts Cai Er’s attack.
Cai Er starts crying. Haochen makes her understand that he never wanted to leave her. He wanted to keep her by his side in his own way. Then, Haochen uses his special powers to kill himself through Cai Er. This calms Cai Er down, and the environment in her subconscious mind changes. Haochen explains to Cai Er that he had to keep his promise to Lin, and that’s why he chose Lin first, but he also found a way to keep Cai Er by his side, but he forgot to explain the whole plan to her.
Later, when Cai Er asks whether Haochen will leave her or not, Haochen hugs her, and they share a romantic moment. Subsequently, everyone at the award ceremony sees Haochen and Cai Er hugging each other and learn that Cai Er has calmed down.
